Chapter 4

850 Words
I was given to Alpha Damian without any hesitation. Madam Gigi was so happy; I could see the happiness in her eyes as she walked towards me where I stood, my head bowed down. "You have finally proved your worth," she said, kissing me on both cheeks as I cringed at her touch. Alpha Damian walked towards us with a cold expression on his face, making me scared since I was going to live the rest of my life with someone like this. I didn’t know what he wanted from me, but I knew it wasn’t good. "I understand everything has been taken care of, or should I have to intervene?" he said, his tone sounding more like a question and a threat. Madam Gigi's face immediately turned pale, but she brushed it off with a nervous laugh. "Yes, Alpha, you don’t have anything to worry about, I promise you," Madam Gigi told him as he slowly nodded. I could see the fear on Madam Gigi's face, which made me wonder who this Alpha was, why Madam Gigi was scared, and why I had to be involved. "What’s going on? How can you people be selling young girls for money without feeling any shame?" I found my voice of conscience speaking out loud. His gaze landed on me. "Clearly, there isn't any difference in the bloodline," he muttered. "What do you mean?" I asked, clearly not scared of him. "Guards!" he yelled, ignoring my question. With that, a lot of guards came running toward us and stood firm in front of him. "Take her to the limousine, we are leaving," Alpha Damian ordered, then walked away without glancing back. "No, this can’t be happening," I muttered, about to run when the guards grabbed my arm and dragged me along. I screamed for help, but Madam Gigi watched silently, turning her back on me. Outside, by the limousine, Alpha Damian was already seated inside. The guards released my arm. "Where is the blindfold?" one guard asked another. "What blindfold?" I asked, scared, turning to look at him. One of the guards produced a blindfold and handed it over without answering me. They signaled to hold me. "Let me go!" I yelled, but I knew they wouldn't listen. They blindfolded me swiftly, and suddenly everything went dark. They pushed me towards the car, treating me like a slave until I stumbled into the vehicle. "Why are you doing this?" I managed to ask, feeling Alpha Damian's presence in the car, hoping for an answer. But he just sighed and said, "Let’s go," and the car started moving. Inside the blindfold, I cried, knowing I was about to meet my fate. The car ride lasted for hours until it finally stopped. They led me out of the car, and the guards guided me to where they were taking me. I entered the place, feeling a mix of emotions as I stepped into an unknown environment. "Remove the blindfold and summon the triplets for me," I heard Alpha Damian's voice order. As soon as the blindfold was removed, a sharp light hit my eyes, and the place was too bright. I scanned the surroundings, which exuded royalty, making me wonder if Alpha Damian was a king. He must be, to live in such a place. My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching me. I kept my gaze down and saw three pairs of legs standing in front of me, a little distance away. "Head up," I heard Alpha Damian say, addressing me. Slowly, I raised my head to see three men with identical faces. They all had sharp jawlines, cold expressions, broad shoulders, and a youthful appearance. "Who are these?" I managed to mutter, earning a glare from one of the boys, though he probably thought I hadn't noticed. "Liam, Ethan, and Zev. These are my triplet sons, and also the ones you will be taking care of from now on," Alpha Damian explained, making me look at him in disbelief. "Excuse me, Father, but what do you mean by that?" one of the boys asked, his voice tinged with nervousness. Alpha Damian turned to look at him, his expression darkening. "How dare you ask me that!" he yelled. The force of his voice startled not only the boys, who visibly flinched, but also made me jump in surprise. "She," he said, pointing towards me, "from now on she is your new guardian, the one that will look after you foolish three," Alpha Damian declared sternly. "And I don’t want what happened last time to repeat itself, or else," he warned, before walking away with his guards trailing behind him. "Take her to her room," Alpha Damian muttered, prompting a guard to swiftly approach me and escort me to where my room was. The confusion on my face mirrored the boys' expressions; they looked just as bewildered as I felt about what was happening. Their gazes never left mine, filled with anger and uncertainty, which I didn’t blame them for cause I can’t believe it. Me, a guardian to them? How?
