Charlotte Carter’s POV I don’t know how many days it’s been since we first got here or since Elle escaped this wretched place. I think about her every day. Her screams from their torture haunt my dreams every night. What’s more haunting is knowing it’s my fault. My husband is sleeping on the bed below me, but I’ve been up for hours; I can’t fall back asleep with the nightmares. I finally decided to get up and do some exercises.
