"Les! I need you! Now! Please!" I dropped the pizza I'm eating immediately to run to my best friend in need.
She's home alone, her parents leaving to go visit their grandparents. She stayed back since she's not really that close with them and the fact that her great grandparents don't remember her.
I ran upstairs to her room. I slammed the door open, in a state of panic and a wave of sense of protection came over me.
"What happened? Who am I going to beat up with my baseball bat?"
She pointed at the pile of clothes on the floor and I sighed. I shook my head but she pleaded with her puppy eyes. I tried to resist it but ended up finding clothes for her.
