He could feel his neck throbbing as the Gatekeeper's fangs cut deeper and deeper into his flesh. Against his better judgement, he struggled against the bonds created by her iron grip; what resulted was more pain and an increased sensation of blood running down his neck and into the collar of his hoodie. Certain movies and books suggested that vampires, being natural predators, had methods - be they mind control or toxins secreted by their saliva - which they used to subdue their prey while they fed. If the vampires he'd unwillingly come to accept as reality possessed any such means, the predator currently using his jugular as a pincushion was using no such tactics. He could feel every pull, every tear; he could feel each of her ten fingers digging painfully where they held him in place.
