Sibyl watched the mortal storm out of the car and into the house. She made no move to follow him; he needed time and rest and then he would come to the same conclusion she had. He would understand that sacrifice was a part of life - that a little blood was a small price to pay for something you truly desired. When the creature was dead, Griffin would be able to return to his normal life and all this would seem like nothing more than a distant nightmare. Then he would understand. She didn't want to go in the house; there was no point.
