When I woke up, I sat up, dropping my covers again as I got out of bed. I still couldn't get his words out of my mind. 'My husband...' 'My husband...' 'My husband...' 'My husband... 'My husband... Wait! Is he crazy? Just because I bowed, we're married now? Crazy... My bad feeling is gone. I'm back again. If I sit here all night, nothing will happen to me. I get up and look around. The room is lit only by candles. Nothing special. But there are flowers on the bedside table where I slept. There's also a picture frame of Buddha with lots of hands behind him. I went to the door to go out. The hallway of the room is a bit dirty and it seems to be haunted because there are vases that a person could fit in. D-don't tell me that's where he keeps his food? Am I next? Grrrrrr. Goosebumps. I hugged myself. dug I cried out as the door to the room I came from suddenly closed. "W-what's that... K-Emperor... I-I won't escape. P-promise." "Awooooooooo!" I jumped again. Yay! I ran back to my room in a hurry. Why is there no light here? No light. I closed the door and leaned against it. Wait a minute... T-this isn't my room. There are no flowers on the side table. No blanket on the bed either. There's no tiger face hanging on the wall either. The candlelight isn't red either. And there's no scarecrow with a straw hat over there. I swallowed hard. I got more and more nervous as the wind blew through the red window. I saw a woman outside on the shore. Her hair was flying. A-another w- woman here? But she's was wearing a white dress. I closed my eyes and when I opened them again, there was no wind and the view outside was obscured by the red curtain. Then, my heartbeat got stronger as if it wanted to jump out of my chest. W-woah! God, the mightiest of all. F-forgive me- Wait! There's a head poking through the window! It's cutting through the curtain! I screamed and suddenly mentioned his name out of nowhere. "K-Kaiseeeeer!" Someone covered my mouth, and when I closed my eyes for a moment out of fear, I opened them to my surprise and found myself in the right room. The one I had slept in. My heart was still beating hard in my chest as he slowly removed his hand covering my mouth. "Are you all right, my wife?" he said with worried eyes. "K-Kaiser..." I looked at him with tears in my eyes. "What were you doing there?" he asked. I sobbed repeatedly. I was so scared that I couldn't speak. I wiped away the tears that suddenly escaped me. "I don't want to be here... I want to go home." I pleaded. I was really scared. There's something very strange about this place. And there is something very frightening about it. "They said you can't go home. It's your destiny to be here." hik "Huh?" It seemed like a silly question to him. "You're my new wife, the wife of the god of the temple. It seems that no one has introduced you yet. I'll introduce you." "Introduce?" A question that took me aback. "Um." He nodded. "Let's go back to the room." Let's go back to that room Let's go back to that room Let's go back to this room Let's go back to this room Will he kill me with fright? I'm not Barbara! I'm not immune to that! "I-I don't want to! I-I want to go home. Letme go!" I pushed him and leaned against the wall. "Because you can't enter a room with anyone in it." He scratched his head as if he didn't know what to say or what he meant. But I didn't want to? He just turned around, walked to the door and opened it. He walked out and gave me a quick glance before closing the door for good. "Go to sleep now," he said a little louder. Only then did I realize that my knees were shaking. Exhausted, I immediately sat down. My strength was drained. I leaned against the wall and closed my eyes. My sweat is overwhelming.
