Lienel Teodora's Point of View There is a temple on our island, in the middle of the sea. Since my childhood, there have been stories circulating about the temple. First, when you enter, they say you'll see a man. A man so handsome 'beyond your imagination.' He will grant you whatever you wish for in your life. He supposedly knows what you desire most in life. Having lost my husband and children, naturally, I want my family back. So, I remembered this story from our province. So I decided to try it. To see if it's true. Second, once you enter the temple, you can never leave. No one who went in has ever come back. Many said they chose not to return because the temple fulfilled their desires. Others said they were swept away by a strong wave when they attempted to leave. So, it's fine. I just want to die anyway. Either way... will benefit me. I can't bring myself to end my life, so... There's something scary about him... He's tan, but he used to be fair-skinned. I could touch him, so he's not just a story. But he should be old because I heard this story when I was young. There's a Buddha in front of me, and there's incense burning. It's not bad for a story when I was young. You're a legend. But you seem sadder than me. We locked eyes, eye to eye.
