"Hello, excuse me, sir. I am looking for a chubby, blonde, fair girl. Did you see her pass this place?" Mary asked the security man anxiously as she fumbled with her phone to call Kiara, but Kiara was not picking up.
"No, I did not see anyone matching that description. Is anything the matter?" The security man asked, aware that most of the people in the event hall were new students celebrating their graduation party.
"I did not know. I mean, she was here before, drinking in that VIP seat with Bryan Anderson. Yes, Bryan. Did you see Bryan Anderson?" Mary asked the security man quickly.
The security man furrowed his brows and replied, "I'm sorry, miss, but I did not see either of them. Wait, you mean Mr. Bryan Anderson? I saw him leave early with a girl. Is she the one you're searching for?"
Mary gasped, "Oh no! Bryan took Kiara away? Where did he go? Which hotel room did he take her?"
Mary's heart was beating so loudly in her chest that she felt like she could faint at any moment.
"Calm down, miss. Why should I inform Mr. Bryan's information to you? Are you trying to hook up with him?" The security man asked, knowing that the Anderson family owned the luxury five-star hotel in Ashland.
"Bryan took my friend away, and you're asking me these dumb questions. What are you doing if you can't protect a girl?" Mary yelled at the tough-looking security man, and he glared at her.
"Hey, miss! Watch your tone and know that this is a hotel. Any student who came here are all adults. So don't blame me for not doing my job well. Instead, blame your friend if she is so cheap to hook up with any man that she sees!" The security man yelled at Mary, and she was frightened.
Mary knew that it was a waste talking to the security man, so she rushed out of the hall and went to search for Kiara by herself.
When Mary got to the hotel lobby and went to the reception desk to make an inquiry, she said, "Excuse me. I am looking for Mr. Bryan Anderson. He came to this hotel and is a student from Ashland Private University. Please, which room did he lodge?"
The receptionist took a glance at Mary and shook her head, "I'm sorry, miss, but we do not divulge client information. Why do you want to know where Bryan Anderson is lodging? We do not know and cannot tell you."
The young female receptionist looked at Mary coldly. Of course, they knew the VIP room that Bryan had lodged for the night, but they could not just tell Mary.
"Is that one of your tricks to spend a night with Mr. Bryan? Keep dreaming, and it's best that you focus on your education, as the Anderson family will not accept you as their son's wife," the receptionist spoke to Mary coldly and rendered her speechless.
Mary stood at the front desk and was lost for words. She tried calling Kiara's phone several times, but the call went unanswered.
"Oh no, Kiara. I hope that nothing bad has happened to you," Mary said as she worried about Kiara.
Unable to find her friend, as the party for the freshman year students had ended, and most of them were leaving, Mary had no choice but to head back to her car to leave for the hostel. But as she stepped out of the luxury five-star hotel, slightly exhausted from her search for Kiara, she bumped into Amanda and her minions.
"Hey, who were you talking to back then in the event hall? You got some balls, right?" Amanda asked as she took some dangerous steps to meet Mary.
Mary stood her ground, not afraid of Amanda.
"I am not looking for any trouble tonight. I am looking for my best friend. What do you want with me?" Mary asked, and Amanda came forward to meet her.
"Scared, huh?"
"Why should I be scared of you?" Mary asked as she glared at Amanda.
Amanda reached to slap Mary, but Mary caught her hand and warned, "Instead of you fighting me for a man who doesn't even know you exist, why not help me in the search for Kiara? I am suspecting that Bryan already took her away. Who knows what they will be doing by now."
"Shut up!" Amanda yelled at Mary like she had almost lost her mind.
"Bryan is mine, and he will only date and marry me. I will let you go tonight, but you better warn your best friend to keep herself away from my man. Unless she is calling for her death," Amanda warned and pushed Mary away. She did not want to believe that Bryan left with any woman.
Bryan was aloof, and he did not like girls crushing on him. Amanda believed that she stood a chance of marrying Bryan in the future because her family and Bryan's family were close friends in Ashland.
Mary did not bother herself to chase after Amanda or to reply to Amanda's words. As the night fell rapidly, Mary grew tired of searching the car park for Kiara. They came to the party together, and she was supposed to take Kiara back. Now, she had lost her best friend, and she did not know where to search for Kiara.
Mary was from the West, but she knew that Kiara got a scholarship to study at the private university. Ashland was a developed country and had North, South, East, and West citizens.
Mary got into her car and drove back to her hostel, as she did not know where to search for Kiara again.
Meanwhile, in a VIP room inside the Anderson's luxury five-star hotel, Bryan and Kiara had just gotten in. And though he felt a slight headache, he held Kiara's hand and pulled her closer to his chest.
"I feel so hot," he mumbled, his words hot against her ears.
Kiara's cheeks were flushed as she was also aroused.
Bryan did not know that his best friend, Mike, had tipped the bartender to have him drugged. Mike wanted Bryan to calm down from his high horse and have fun with any of their private university girls. But Mike was stunned when he happened to see Bryan and Kiara drinking.
Mike couldn't send Kiara away, as he wanted to swap her with any of the hottest, slimmest girls in their first-year set. But Mike was too late, as Kiara had already joined Bryan in drinking from the bottle.
Mike couldn't go after them, as he wanted his friend to enjoy the soft feel of a woman's body. At first, Mike had thought Bryan was gay, but his friend was not attracted to men either.
Mike left the table, knowing that Bryan would investigate what happened to him.
However, in the VIP room, Kiara was nervous, even though she was drunk and badly aroused too. She wanted to give her first time to her husband, as she believed in keeping her body holy until marriage.
But now, not only was she badly aroused, but she was also attracted to Bryan's handsome face. His tall height, as she could barely reach his shoulder.
Kiara did not wear heels; she wore a simple shoe, but even as she was tall, she was not up to Bryan's height. She was 5'2", but Bryan was 6'2".
Bryan took off his shirt and told Kiara, "Leave. I sense I have been drugged. Leave now."
"No, I want you," Kiara said, and Bryan's gaze darkened.
"Do you know what you're requesting? How can you say that? Was this your doing?" Bryan asked, his head aching with a compounding headache.
"No, it's not mine," Kiara said, her voice broken. She was scared when she saw the dangerous look in Bryan's eyes. It looked like he was going to kill her on the spot if he found out that she had drugged him to get him to sleep with her.
Bryan held Kiara's arms firmly against the wall as he searched her face, looking down at her to know if she was the one who had drugged him. However, as his cold eyes landed on her full lips, Bryan lost his self-control, and he wanted to have a taste of her cherry lips.
Kiara was scared as she saw Bryan looking at her coldly, but his eyes shifted away from her eyes and settled on her lips. Before she could react, he kissed her passionately and left her breathless.
