Solaris' POV I was still slightly shocked by my dad's apology, and we were now standing in awkward silence, not looking at one another and not knowing what to say next. This must have been why he didn't apologize often, or perhaps it was the fact that he never thought he was wrong. "We should go talk with our warriors," I said, slicing the weird tension. "Yes, yes, we should," he agreed, shaking his head quickly. "I'll go get your mother; why don't you link them and have them gather right outside? I'm sure they've heard what's happening by now, but it would be good to hear it from us." We nodded at each other and went our separate ways, him back to his office and me towards the front door, thinking about what Ryse had just said to me.
