Chapter 38: The Battle Begins
Kesiray's POV The group flew high, trying to stay out of sight of anything below that might find such a large haze threatening. The last thing we wanted or needed was to lose anyone before the battle began. Solaris held me tightly in his arms, pressing me protectively against his chest. The wind whipped through my hair, sometimes slapping him in the face. He did not say anything about it. Instead, he stared intensely ahead, his eyebrows pushed together, and his forehead wrinkled, deep in thought. My thoughts were on Savion and how we were going to free him. Solaris' fire might be enough, but what if the cells didn't allow for that since the dragons also had fire? We would need another way to get him out safely.
