Solaris' POV My phoenix eyes tracked Kesi as she fell, free falling, like a beautiful angel about to meet her death when she slammed into the ground. I streaked for her, willing my wings to go faster than I ever had before. I could feel Savion and my parents hot on my tail, all of us trying to get to her before it was too late. If the impact with the ground didn't kill her, the sixty-foot dragon falling after her certainly would. Telarion had hit her so hard, and the spikes on his tail had punctured her in several places. My only hope was that I could get her to a healer or doctor in time before she lost too much blood.
