Lily woke up the next morning to the sound of people talking downstairs. She rolled over in bed with a groan, rubbing her blurry eyes and wincing as it tugged against her stitches. Her head was throbbing. She didn’t want to get up, but she knew if she didn’t, he would come looking for her soon.
