Chapter 2- Mysterious Mentor

"Who are you?" Liam asked, his eyes still fixed on the spot where the mysterious old man had once stood, their encounter etched in his memory.

"You'll know soon," the old man replied cryptically, his voice carrying a sense of gravitas. And with those words, he departed from the scene, vanishing with an uncanny swiftness that left Liam in awe.

Liam tried to follow the old man, spurred by an insatiable curiosity, but he soon realized that he was no match for the man's speed and agility. The old man had left without a trace, leaving Liam with more questions than answers.

Later that day, a visitor arrived at Liam's home. It was none other than his childhood friend and partner in crime, Jamie Prometheus. Both Liam and Jamie were popular among their peers, particularly among the young women of their age. Liam, the younger of the two, possessed glossy dark blue hair and captivating black eyes. His tall stature and sturdy build added to his allure.

In contrast, Jamie had dark black hair and bright blue eyes. He lacked in physical strength compared to Liam but made up for it with his charm and charisma. Jamie was known for his outgoing nature and often found himself on multiple dates with different girls in a single week.

As they sat together that evening, Jamie began to speak about his love life, as was his usual topic of conversation. However, today was different. Liam, still absorbed in the events of the day and his encounter with the enigmatic old man, could no longer sit idly by and pass the time listening to Jamie's romantic escapades.

He interrupted Jamie and proceeded to recount the story of the old man and his intervention against the bullies. Liam's admiration for the old man's actions was evident, and he spoke with fervor about the desire to learn from him.

After listening to the entire tale, Jamie saw the determination in Liam's eyes. He was not about to let this opportunity slip away. Jamie, too, had empathy for the weak and shared Liam's desire to make a difference in their society. Together, they hatched a plan to find the mysterious old man, to seek his mentorship, and to learn the skills and wisdom that had given him the power to stand up against injustice.

Their journey had only just begun, but their resolve was unwavering. Liam and Jamie were ready to embark on a quest to challenge the oppressive system that plagued the Ash Empire. With their hearts set on making a difference, they were prepared to do whatever it took to become the proteges of the enigmatic mentor who had ignited the spark of change within them.
