I couldn’t believe that Cor brought us a house. I absolutely loved it, it was like a dream home and I was excited to be spending the rest of our lives here.
During the rest of lunch, we talked about the house, but in the back of my mind, I still couldn’t help but worry about my mum coming.
Once lunch was over, I let Jada go get ready for a swim. I still find it hard to let her do things without my help.
Eleven years of having to help her with nearly everything meant it was going to take me some time to adjust to the very independent little girl she now is.
When she was off doing her own thing, I pulled out my laptop and headed for one of the many living areas. I plonked myself on the couch and put the laptop on the coffee table.
