When I left Tan with Cor, I rushed over to the clinic to get Ev. I found her in her office going over some stuff with Jada, this kid of mine was such a sponge.
I knocked on the doorframe and they both looked at me.
“Uh Ev, I was wondering if I could borrow you for a few minutes?”
“Is everything OK with the pups?” she asked, standing and coming around the desk.
“Yes, the pups are fine, they are hanging out with their grandparents while we are meeting with a soon-to-be new member of the pack.” She looked at me confused.
“Then how can I be of assistance?” she asked me. How was I going to get her over to the house? I didn’t want to say straight out just in case I was wrong about all this.
