The trip back to Maz’s was pretty quiet. I think Cor and I were still processing everything that happened over the few days we were there, it honestly felt like we were there for weeks, not just a mere few days.
When we finally arrived, Maz was sitting on the back porch with a cuppa and appeared to be reading on her phone. She glanced up as the car pulled up, and smiled.
As we got out of the car, Maz came down to meet us. She gave me a hug and immediately asked, “So how does it feel?”
