9 - Rage

ELLE POV 

Everything is pitch black. I cannot see nor feel anything around me. I sit here for what feels like eternity screaming and begging for someone to help me to set me free from the darkness. I am terrified but oddly comfortable in this place. 

DAVID POV

It has been a week since Elle was locked up in a cell, she still hasn't woken up and it seems as though everyone has forgotten about her ... well just about at least. After fitting the camera in Elle's room I left with my father to check on the rouges we had acquired, we had finally put together a training program that we could start with so I have been away all week setting up the program and getting it started, I still checked on Elle through the camera feed in the cells but I know it is not a good sign that she hasn't woken up yet. I am on my way back to the pack-house to get ready for school tomorrow and hopefully convince my cousin and uncle to get her some medical attention. However, as I walk through the doors leading to the dinning room I can already hear the roaring voices of my family as they scream at each other, I take a deep breath and walk in to the mess finding my seat and sitting down. "WHY CAN NOBODY MAKE A MEAL CORRECTLY AROUND HERE?" Alpha Zac shouted at a young omega, I truly hated the abuse that people received when he and Zane deemed them insignificant. "I thought that girl made all the meals Alpha?" I questioned him trying my best to look as confused as possible. "Are you an i***t? She is still laid on that floor. She hasn't woken up yet" Zane spat in my direction we have never got along as I could never stand to be around someone so disgraceful for long and he always thought of me as an i***t because I kept to myself. 'what are you doing?' my father mindlinked me. 'she needs medical attention Dad I cannot believe no one has seen her or attended to her in a week, I am trying to get them to send her to the clinic even if it is for their own gain'  I responded to my father who luckily also had a hold of his humanity and a set of morals, so I knew I could tell him about getting Elle help. "Maybe the girl should get back to work? Why don't you let me take care of it, I will take her to the doctor to get patched up and get her back to work this place needs a clean anyway" my father said to the room playing the part and sounding completely uninterested. My uncle however eyed him suspiciously "What is in it for you little brother?" He questioned him "A decent meal ... all week everyone has argued over the food I just want to eat properly and I want my clothes washed the laundry basket is full ... you know what forget it ill get an omega to do it" My father replied, waving his hand at the end in order to dismiss his previous statement. My uncle looked even more curious "No no that won't be needed get the girl seen to, she has a lot to catch up on and I cant stand this food any longer" My uncle said to my father, I tried to conceal a smile at this bit of hope for Elle. "David, Deal with the girl please" My father said sternly, I agreed in the same manner knowing there were eyes on us. I stood up and left the room heading for the cells until a hand clamped down on my shoulder. "What is your deal?" Zane asked as he gripped my shoulder harder. "Nothing dear cousin, I just want to make sure we all have clean clothes and food the next few weeks" I replied in a bored tone. "Hm so you don't have a crush on the human girl?" he asked with his eyebrow raised. I scoffed at his remark "HA no! Zane my mate is out there and I intend to be with her not some weak pathetic human" I tell him "Alright then go ahead" he says to me, once I reach the cells I let out the breath I was holding.

ELLE POV

Its still pitch black but I can definitely hear voices, they're quiet almost as if they are far away and there is a faint slow beeping. I try to get closer to the noise until I can hear a woman speak clearly "She shouldn't be here, she will die. You have to protect her, she is special" I wonder who they are talking about. The beeping is clear now too and I can hear birds singing, where am I? I try to open my eyes now but it is like they are glued shut. I try to move my fingers instead and I think it has worked when I hear a familiar voice "Did you see that Doc?" Doc? "See what?" It is the woman's voice again "n-nothing I thought I saw her fingers move" the familiar voice filled with disappointment said "It's possible with her nerves and muscles, Don't worry I am sure she will wake soon" the female voice said before a door closed. Wait were they talking about me? I moved my fingers, I am awake! I tried to shout and scream that I was here that I was awake but nothing not a sound not a movement then it started to make sense the beeping, hushed voices, Doc, I was the she they were talking about, I am in a hospital or doctors at the least but why? How did I get here? What happened to me? With these thoughts in my mind and the beeping in the background I fell back into the darkness.

ZANE POV

I have been pacing in my room for the last hour, I wanted to check on Elle, I didn't mean to hurt her that badly I just wanted to punish her. The rage inside me was building up again, my wolf equally as angry. It wasn't as much as I was angry that I hurt her because truthfully I wasn't she needed to be punished but the guilt about it that I felt made me angry, David coming home the other day and making us send her to the hospital made me angry, then watching him carry her and seeing his hands on her made me angry though I still don't understand why. On top of that my dad was putting too much pressure on me to be better than that Alpha Hunter to do my research about him, Stacey was constantly wanting my attention and then an hour ago I received a text about Elle that read 'Alpha Zane, I have examined and monitored Elle for the past 3 days, unfortunately Elle has a lot of recent and previous injuries. Her recent injuries include a broken eye socket, a cut on the back of her head, a broken nose, bruised jaw, 3 broken ribs on her left side, the left lung was full of fluid due to the broken ribs, Her right wrist was broken and her right elbow  and left knee were both dislocated due to all of this I have put her in a medically induced coma until the blood transfusion accelerates her healing. Her previous injuries show that she has been abused physically, she has old scars, bruises and old healed broken bones. Once she is healed and well enough I will discharge her, until then I will inform you when she is awake if you would like to find out who did this to her? Doctor Henry' apart from hearing about all the damage I did to her body and finding out she has previously been hurt by others what really annoyed me was Doctor Henry wanting to know if I was going to question her about who did this to her, when it was me I am the monster that broke her body. I decided to go for a run and hit the gym to feed the rage burning inside of me, pacing my room was making things worse.
