17 - Monster

ELLE POV

*****     11 MONTHS LATER     *****

Everyone was buzzing with excitement, well everyone but me today Zane and Sam would be returning, David returned 3 months ago and continued to work with his father being sent away for weeks at a time to different packs. Zane and Sam however, had decided that they wanted to travel for 3 months before they take over the pack this weekend. In the past year that I have lived here I have learnt a lot about werewolves, they have a mind link where they are connected to each member off the pack and can talk through the mind link, they can also feel a link break when a pack member dies or leaves the pack. I learned about mates too, mates are the other half of a werewolf like a soul mate, it is believed that the goddess creates two people who are linked through a magical bond and fall in love, to me it sounds like a fairytale. Werewolves can shift at anytime like Jacob in Twilight I guess you could also sort of compare mate bonds to imprinting, though you wont know your mate until you are 18 which brings us back to why everyone is so excited. Zane's 18th birthday is tomorrow and he will be able to find his mate everyone is whispering about it being Stacey and she is already acting like the Luna. That's something else I learned too, the Alpha's mate is called the Luna both are equally in charge of running the pack and protecting them, Alphas can be possessive, angry, ambitious, confident, self-assured, controlling and they also tend to be the biggest and strongest member in the pack, Luna's however are supposed to be just as strong and driven as Alphas but also nurturing like the mother of the pack which lets face it is definitely not Stacey. Once Zane has celebrated his birthday tomorrow and claimed his mate tomorrow night there is another celebration on Sunday in which Alpha Zack will pass the pack and the title over to Zane and he will become the new Alpha, Sam will be crowned the new Beta and David will replace his father as the Gamma. 

*whoosh* SMACK! My head hits the floor as I am instantly brought out if my thoughts. "What's going on in that pretty little head of yours huh?" Alpha Zak sneers, his coffee and nicotine stained teeth on show and his hand coming to my hair. Oh yes I forgot to mention since Zane left his father has deemed it his responsibility to keep me in check and he is more of a monster than Zane. "just cleaning Alpha" I tell him whilst trying to keep the disgust from my voice and stop the world from spinning around me. "to my office now" he orders me as his smirk grows into the sinister smile that reminds me of his son. I stand up and slowly walk to the Alpha's office I hate his punishments, I hate him, I hate this place. Before I know it I am stood in front of his desk as he closes the door. He walks behind me and trails his fingertips up my arm, across my shoulder and down my back until he comes to my ass he them grabs my ass as his other hand grabs my neck and pulls me towards him so my back is pressed against his chest. his nails dig into my neck and ass and he squeezes tighter leaving me gasping for air as I use my hands to pull his arm away. "Now now little one" Alpha Zak whispers in my ear his breath on my neck making my skin crawl he pulls away just enough to smack my ass before he orders me to remove my clothes and lets go of my neck. I do as he says and when I am finished he pushes my face into the solid desk and grabs my hair as his other hand repeatedly smacks my already very sore and bruised ass cheek, by the time he stops I have already lost count of how many times he did it my hips are bruised from the force of hitting the desk and the tears in my eyes have built up to the point of spilling over but I refuse to cry in front of this man. I am suddenly brought out of my thoughts when he turns me around and pushes me to my knees, I know what is coming next it has happened so many times before with Zane and his father but just as he is about to force himself into my mouth the door slams open. "Ahh there she is, Come here Elle NOW!!" Zane screams the tears are now falling freely from my eyes, I stand up and walk over to Zane he picks up my clothes and throws them too me "Get dressed" he grits out through clenched teeth, I hurriedly put my clothes back on. "go back to work NOW" he shouts while staring at his father, Alpha Zak stand there with a smug smile as I quickly run out of the room straight into Stacey knocking us both to the floor. "YOU b***h" she screams as she slaps me across the face. "I am so sorry Luna Stacey, I will get you some ice I'm terribly sorry" I hurriedly tell her hoping not to get into too much trouble "URGH get OUT of my way" she demands as she stands up I quickly stand up and step to the side only releasing my breath once she has entered the office. I pay more attention to my surroundings as I rush downstairs and see my jobs are finished and the mop and bucket have been put away for me. I quickly run to the basement and see Kate pacing the floor. "OH MY GODDESS look at you" she exclaims with a mouth over her hand, I start crying again when she rushes over to me and wraps her arms around my body "shh Elle it's not forever I promise we will be out of this hell one day" she says quietly, lately Kate had been talking about us heading off into the forest and leaving this place for good but I knew better we would never escape this is our life now. 

HUNTER POV 

"Hey Hunter did you forget something?" Elliot asks as he walks into my office without knocking again. "welcome, come in, no need to knock at all" I say sarcastically as I look up from my paperwork. "what's the point of knocking it's not like your doing anything I don't want to see" he replied whilst laughing "I might have been" I spit out "no no no you said it yourself no more one night stands" he replied whilst smiling. "ok, ok so what is it you wanted me for?" I ask him hoping to change the subject. "well it's to do with why you will no longer have your one night stands to be honest" he says slowly as if I needed time to process his words "What do you mean Elliot?" I ask getting more and more confused. "Ok so you no longer sleep around because you believed you caught the scent of your mate when we went to Blood Fang Pack for that Alpha kids party right?" I sigh at the reminder of that scent I am so sure it was my mate. "Yes Elliot why are you bringing this up to me now" I sigh "because that was a year ago and whoever mystery mate is is likely to be there again this year right?" he replies before sighing deeply "Hunter! We have been invited to the pack for the weekend he has his 18th birthday party tomorrow and his Alpha initiation on Sunday we have the whole weekend at the pack t find your mate and if she was there from another pack she is likely to be there again" he explains in a loud voice I look at him before replying "have you got our bags packed then?" He smiles back at me "Bags are packed and in the car to take us to the jet, pilot is there ready and waiting for us I figured you wouldn't want to waste time driving this time?" he replied I stood up and punched his shoulder in a friendly manner "This is why you are my bestfriend and Beta I couldn't do this without you" I tell him truthfully. "Ok so what are you waiting for? Your parents are going to take over for the weekend so lets go" He says practically bouncing on his feet, I smile and head out with Elliot.
