Epilogue
If I thought the palace was packed for Father's funeral, then I don't have a word for it now that the attention has turned to my coronation. Now it isn't just the Anubis Blessed in residence in Cairo, but Blessed representatives from all of the gods, as well as anyone who is anyone from around the world.
I try not to feel too uncomfortable about the fact they're all here because they want to watch me. And this wasn't something that was going to be a one-time event, the celebrations would last for a full year, and after that, there will be tours of the empire, and almost constant diplomatic events to attend. I've been going to some of them for years in Father's place, but it's still going to take some getting used to.
