Chapter Six

Luckily for him the meeting was not over what was the old man thinking, whatever it was it help Steve because he would be able to srr maria his dads secretary.

Steve arrived at the mansion in few minutes time still the same he thought nothing had change the meeting was already half way through when he came in, mr Philip was already so angry if Steve wasn't his son he was ready to sack him.

"Good day ladies and gentlemen -sorry am late" was his statement as he grabbed a chair to sit

"So what did I miss"

At first everyone was amazed but they continued the meeting Steve strolled his eyes round the board and finally sighted maria he gave her that tempting bright smile maria couldn't resist

*I wish he would stop doing that to me *she thought he is so handsomr, but Steve wasn't a trustworthy guy she knew a lot about him and doest want to be one of his toys she had played the game perfectly well not to make silly mistakes she would later regret when the meeting was closrd, everyone shakes hands with each other and left the hall

"Steven I would like to see you"

Steve was so annoyed because he knew the old man was gonna scold him for one thing or the other.

"Sure"

They both walked inti a quite room after closing the door his father presided

"Ste.........."

Before he could finish steve said "good morning dad"

"I wasn't gonna say u should greet me"

"But I just did"

"Steve am sick and tried of this behavior of yours i ve already done everything to show how sorry I am for what I did to you"

"You know what dad am not confused and I don't think I can ever forgive you"

Before mr Philip could altar another word Steve walked out on his way out he met j.j

"Steve"

He shouted but no reply and with Steve behavior he knew something must have gone wrong he walked in the room and met mr Philip so sad

"What happened dad" was his first question

"I tried to convince him about how sorry I am for what happened

" with Sonia "

"Yes j.j am afraid he will never forgive me " (sobing)

"He would steve just needs a little more time to forget about her and everything.

Steve found his way into the garden the thought of Sonia occurred to him again it has been 4years now but it was just like yesterday Sonia was his first love and he had lost her because of his dad he'd promised himself to forget about her but it wasn't easy.

Maria walked through the corridor then he remembered the flowers but before he could get to the car she might have gone, then he sighted blooming red rose which was so fresh he neatly plugged two roses and removed a small golden string from his pocket after making an incredible design with it he bumped into her with the rose hidden maria was scared at first but with the sight of steve she was relief because with Steve anything can happen.

" you scared me" she said with her right hand on her chest

"You look beautiful" he said with that same smile he had given her earlier which made her heart skip but she managed to say

"Thank you"

Ummmmm actually these are for you"he brought out the hidden rose at the sight maria could feel herself floating in the air but as a girl she his it all and gave him nothing but a simple lip smile as she collected them they smell perfectly well.

"like to see more of you sooner" steve said as he slide on his space

"Your wish" they both smiled

Maria watched him walk away she had wished he gave her a wonderful kiss and grab her in his strong manny hand that could make a girl melt in them then a sudden thought occurred to her is she good enough for him, he'd met other girls that didn't change him but she smiled to herself she's is different from them all at least her beauty was a lot to write home about l, as maria turned back to leave a maid come running

"Madam" she turned back she was so amazed by what she saw it was like the best bunch of lovely flowers that covered the face of the little French maiden that came running the maid handed the bunch over to her with a small shinning note which she wondered it was wrapped with silver because of the way it shinned

"A gift for you madmosel"

"From"

"He said I shouldnt tell, but you would know through the note"

Maria held the wrapped note upwards *steve* was what came to her mind it could be no other person than him but what is he up to

"Thank you, you may leave" maria be nocked to open the note but she decided to wait till she got to her apartment when she got garage one of mr Philip driver who was asked to drop her off came to her

"let me help you with that" he offered, maria didn't hesitate but allowed him she sat at the back seat in no time she arrived at the apartment

"You can drop me over there" she said to the driver

"Thank you Joe"

"No mention maria" he replied on his way out.

Alone in the apartment maria thought it was the right time to read it , she unwrapped it strange it was a small note she read it slowly

She smiled to herself steve was never a straight foward guy he was full of mysteries and surprises well she was glad he liked her maria flick the clock a quick glance it was 4pm the day is running fast she thought but that didn't bother her.
