Chapter 1; The Gift
Stella took out her phone and quickly typed a message for her husband. "Congratulations on your third anniversary... Arrive home early. I have a surprise for you that you will undoubtedly enjoy..."
Stella put down her phone and went to the kitchen to continue cooking after sending this message. Her skin is glistening. "I can't find any reason to be concerned about the news earlier..." she thinks to herself.
"Ma'am, I'll help you..." said the servant.
Stella shook her head and smiled. "There's no need... I'd like to cook for him so you can get back to work."
The servant is envious of Stella. "You're too kind, ma'am." I'm confident Sir will be pleased tonight."
Stella smiled but did not respond. Are she and Juan Alejandro deeply in love? Stella smirks at herself because she knows it's all for show.
Juan Alejandro arrived home at seven o'clock in the evening, and the maid eagerly left.
Stella simply set the table. She felt the warm breath on her nape, then the finger on her chin, while she was preparing the food. Stella turned, but she didn't get a chance to say anything because Alejandro grabbed her lips - it was passionate and exploratory.
Stella was stunned for a moment and reached out to push him away, but Alejandro wrapped his arms around her waist, pinched her chin with his long fingers, and his black eyes narrowed slightly. Then a word was spit out that had no warmth to it. "You specifically requested that I return. Isn't it just for this?"
"No, today is our third wedding anniversary, and I have a gift for you," Stella explained softly.
Alejandro let go of her, straightened his slightly wrinkled shirt, and said softly, "The gift is unnecessary." After all, your surprises have always surprised but not delighted me."
Stella's lips pursed, and without a retort, she turned and went about her business.
They soon begin to eat...
Stella sat across from Alejandro and poured him a glass of red wine. "To celebrate our third wedding anniversary, cheers," she said as she picked up her glass.
The man's attractive features under the spotlights. Juan Alejandro Pattinson's jawline is cold and deep, the bridge of his nose is straight, and his thin lips are slightly raised, indicating that he is dissatisfied with the celebration. Stella grinned, not expecting him to respond. Alejandro took up the wineglass and drank from it.
Stella continued to pour a second cup... and then another. After several glasses, she was a little tipsy, lying on the table, staring at the man who had never been bothered by her existence. "It's our anniversary, Juan Alejandro Pattinson... "Could you please give me a small smile?"
"What exactly do you want me to do?" "Do you want me to go crazy with you or accompany you to this extremely boring anniversary?" Alejandro shot back.
"How can it be dull?" Stella makes a remark.
Alejandro smirked, as if he'd heard a joke, and then whispered, "Will you then let me go all the way?"
Stella shook the remaining liquid in the cup, and the soft light moistened her eyes slightly. "It ought to be possible... No way. "
Alejandro didn't want to waste time with her, so he went upstairs. In annoyance, he untied his tie and removed his blazer, and as he unbuttoned his shirt, a pair of soft little hands wrapped around his back, and the smell of wine followed.
"Don't be concerned. My gift has not been delivered..." Stella whispers seductively.
Alejandro turned around, put his hands in his pockets, and stared at Stella without saying anything.
Stella's cheeks were flushed, and a pair of innocent eyes looked at him, causing people to freeze. Alejandro's deep throat knot rolled, even though he didn't want to admit it, but the woman in front of him was undeniably lovely. She has the ability to melt any man's heart.
He wouldn't have been in the way if she hadn't put him there in the first place. Then his gaze was drawn to her fiery lips... Alejandro lifted Stella's chin without hesitation, pressed his lips, and pried her apart while Stella's little hands slipped into his shirt.
Stella felt Alejandro's punishing kiss, but she refused to give in. Stella responded to the kiss with the same fervor. She was so engrossed in her desire that she didn't notice Alejandro had already placed her on the bed.
"Didn't you say you didn't want to?" Alejandro held Stella's hand with both hands and ticked the ends of his eyes silently.
"Don't you realize that what women say differs from what they think?" Stella replied.
Alejandro sneered, bowed his head, and kissed her again.
Stella was extra vigilant tonight, her teeth biting his lips as the rusty smell of blood filled their lips. Who will win and who will dominate the other in the kiss?
Stella blew up the surprise she had planned for Alejandro just as he was about to get the condom from the side table. "Let's get a divorce, Juan Alejandro Pattinson."
The man who was hovering over her paused. "What are you on about?"
Stella repeated her sentence despite knowing he heard her. "Let's get married."
As Alejandro stood up, his lust vanished in an instant. "How much money do you require?" Stella had always been like this. The tricks came out in an endless stream to ask for money without folding the means, so it accustomed Alejandro.
"Not even a penny." Stella scribbled a divorce agreement under her pillow. "... see? You may sign it if there is no problem."
Alejandro's expression was solemn and depressed. "Stella, you'd better know when to stop." I don't have time to play this tedious game with you." He responded coldly.
"Didn't I promise to surprise you tonight?" "I believe that my gift is the best for everyone."
Alejandro looked at her expressionlessly and felt, for some reason, that her smile was a little shaky.
Stella grinned. "I wish you a happy divorce, AJ."
Alejandro's thin lips lifted, and he asked a few seconds later. "Are you sure?"
Stella gave the nod. "What? This is happiness... I'm sure you'll enjoy it."
"Fine! Don't you dare to be sorry!" Alejandro abruptly ended the sentence and slammed the door shut.
Stella lowered her gaze to the divorce agreement she was holding. Alejandro didn't even bother to look at it.
Stella packed everything that night. She placed her belongings before becoming Mrs. Juan Alejandro Pattinson.
Alejandro purchased jewelry, bags, shoes, and clothing, but she abandoned everything. It's not worth it for her.
Stella still picked up the divorce agreement on the cold coffee table after she left.
Stella looked at the dining table as she passed by, and the tableware in front of Alejandro was clean, and he had not moved at all.
As expected, this wedding anniversary is as unpopular as ever. Divorce anniversaries, thankfully, have taken precedence.
"Surely, AJ is hurrying to tell his lover that he is finally free..." Stella felt relieved as she sat in the taxi, looking out the window at the passing scenery.
She is about to return to her slum after three years as a phony Mrs. Pattinson. Stella smiles bitterly.
