Several hours passed. Mark called to say he was on his way. Frank fell asleep. He was roused by a soft knocking on the door. He got up and opened it. Mark stood on the other side, looking like he wasn’t sure what to say or do. “I’m sorry it took so long. I had trouble finding someone to loan me a car.” “It’s okay. Come on in. I’ll get my stuff.” He turned from the door and began to gather his things. He heard the door close. Turning back, he looked at Mark, and the next moment he was in Mark’s arms, crying his heart out on his friend’s shoulder. After a time, Frank pulled back, took a deep breath, and apologized. “I’m sorry. I kind of lost it.” “Hey, you’ve just done the hardest thing you can do, put someone else’s needs before your own. There’s nothing to be ashamed of.” Frank smiled
