CHAPTER 13"You'd better come!"
Kendra glanced up from where she was washing the floor to see a frustrated looking Hannah rush into the kitchen. Obviously, something was wrong. She followed her companion out the back door where the sound of shouting and jeering attacked her ears.
A crowd of mainly men were circled around a fight. She rushed up, the crowd parted and she found herself at the front. Brian was there, gasping and bending over with blood flowing from his face. Even as she watched, Alric dragged the man's head up and hit him with a gigantic closed fist knock on the jaw. Brian, groaned, swung his arms around wildly an attempt to defend himself before he staggered and collapsed on the ground.
Kendra stared in horror for Wuffa was about to kick the downed man with his boot.
