Terrie dragged her tired and cold body back into the kitchen, her arms trembling from the stress she inflicted on them to break the ice wall down. Nothing worked, and it was sad to admit that she wasn’t surprised because she knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that it wouldn’t. She tried everything she could think of to get through what seemed like a reinforced ice wall. She gave her all trying to chip, carve, and dig without any success. She even warmed another pot she found in the cabinets and then placed it onto the ice. It sizzled and water began to run from it, but as soon as the pot cooled down, the wall would reharden, looking as if nothing was done to it.
