Adam was bundled against the outstanding wall facing away from the direction of the howling wind. It was the most protection he could find that was close to the building Terrie was locked up in. The more he sat squat, trying to keep the center of his body warm, the more it became impossible to do so. The cold was seeping in from every possible angle, and without the proper outerwear, there was quite literally nothing he could do about it. There was no way he would survive outside in these conditions, and what was worse was that everything he scavenged was trapped inside with Terrie. Why did he have to leave? He should have done what anyone would have done in such a terrible situation and offered consolement instead of selfishly storming out. But that wouldn't have been quite right either
