Chapter Fifty One

Sitting up in the firm wheelchair was harder than she initially thought it would be. Her neck felt like it was straining to hold up her head, and her diaphragm felt like it was struggling, in general, to hold everything up. It was weird, but she felt like it was easier to sit up and move around when she was actively starving and dehydrated for those fourteen days than it was to do anything now that she has rested in a bed, eaten food regularly for the last few days and consumed all the water she wanted after having the IV drip removed. It had to be the survival instincts that gave her that extra strength to keep moving and fighting for the next day.
