The painful sting run across her face, she staggered sideways in shock as she barely turns to the person. Anna stood there beside her with a cold sneer on her lips. Mira grins her teeth in anger but she did not retaliate and just stare angrily. “You still think you’re some big shot?” Anna mocked. Mira’s eyes shot at her. Anna’s eyes were glowing triumphantly. “I’m now the heiress of Graymont empire.” She stepped closer to Mira looking arrogant. “Unlike you, I actually have my wolf power and knows how to use them properly” her lips curved wickedly. “Oh!” she let out as if she just remembers something, “Thanks for returning Hink back to me” she smiles sweetly. “He’s much happier now than when he was pretending to be with a powerless stray wolf like you.” Mira stood there speechless. She thought nothing Hink said to her about himself and Anna were really, but it seems he was telling her the truth. Anna leaned closer and whisper near her ear. “You were just use for building him up for me.” She smiles. Mira feels distress, her wolf growled weakly inside of her. She could feel rage, hatred and at the same time humiliation. Her body trembles violently. “You father and daughter disgust me…” she whispered grudgingly. Raymond sighed, looking impatient. “I’ve entertained this nonsense far too long” he waved his hand coldly at the guards towards him. “Take her away” the two wolves guards immediately grab her. “Let go of me!” she struggles with them. She is not yet done with asking what she wanted from her uncle. Mira struggled furiously. “Let go of me! You stole my life! You made me homeless! Can you face dad like this?” She cries. Raymond’s eyes instantly turn dark and dangerous. “What if?” “I’m going to tell the world everything you did to me!” Raymond smirked. “Don’t try anything funny, Mira.” He narrowed his eyes. “Or you will end up just like your parents.” Mira instantly froze, her pupils contracted violently. “…What did you mean by that?” her voice trembles. Raymond did not reply but only smiled and turn away. “Throw her into the mental hospital.” His voice becomes terrifyingly cold. Mira’s breathing stopped briefly. The guards dragged her towards the door forcefully. Raymond towards them. “Make sure she becomes truly insane this time.” A cruel smile appeared on his lips. Fear crawls down Mira’s spine as the guards dragged her outside before she could regain herself. What did he mean by that? Rain poured heavily on her as the guards drag her out and violently shove her into the backseat of the black car parked in the compound. The hit of the rain seems to bring back her senses. “What did you mean?!” she struggles desperately with the guards. “Raymond, tell me! Did you kill dad and mom?!” She yells at the top of her voice. “Could he really have killed mom and dad?” she now realizes something was very wrong about her parent’s suddenly accident. Her wolf stirred uneasy inside her. The farther the car drove into the empty road the stronger her fear become. “Where are you taking me?” she demands shakily as she seems to just realized she was really been taken to a mental hospital. One of the men glanced at her coldly and smirked. “Mr. Raymond needs you to stay hidden.” “You mean at a mental hospital?” she panics. The men smirked mockingly. “No! let me go!” she starts to struggle again but the painful sting of injection makes her lose her control and she went numbed. Rain beats against the narrow windows of the underground mental ward as Mira was dragged down the cold hallway by the two guards. The injection was doing worse for her, though she was conscious but she felt numb all over. The sharp scent of disinfectant mixed with blood filled the air. Her wrists burn from the silver shackles tightly locked around them. She knows that they use silver restraint because of her wolf, though she could not feel her wolf power but they were still afraid of her. The metal weakened her and sent pain crawling inside her skin like fire. “Move!” one of the men barked at her, shoving her forward. Mira trembles in fear, her knees slammed against the hard floor. Mockery laughter followed her fall from the men. “She’s the crazy heiress.” One of the workers from the mental hospital said. “What do you mean heiress? Not anymore” they laugh again. “She is just a crazy stray wolf without power” the other one corrected. Mira lowered her head in silent, she had thought it will end with his uncle taken everything that belongs to her, but now she will be locked in the hospital? She never thought he will go to that extent. “He must have really hate me. He must have really hate dad” she mutters like a real mad woman. Her hair hung measly around her pale face. The expensive dress she wore when Hink threw her out of the Diamond pack mansion was now dirty and wrinkled. Everything about her feels broken and she knew she was really broken. The guards dragged her into a small dark room, a small bed just enough to lay on her side was the only thing in the room. Mira looks at the small room as she was shoved unto the bed, she had never imagined her life turning out to be so worse. Only if she had not trust Hink and loved him. A doctor comes into the room and glance up from the file in his hand lazily. “Patient 27?” “That’s her” one of the guard replies. “Oh! The Gray girl” the doctor’s eyes lit up with interest. Mira looks up at him, her eyes sending daggers at him but she was too weak. “So, this is the famous madwoman.” He said and smirked. Mira breath angrily. They are no longer even calling her by her name but, famous madwoman! Patient 27! “I’m not insane.” She curled up her finger weakly trying to protest. The doctor ignores her completely and flipped through several papers from the file in his hand. “Delusional disorder, violent wolf instability, hallucinations.” Mira’s chest tightened painfully. She never had symptoms like that but they already gave her so much symptoms for her madness. The doctor then walks towards her calmly. “You know” he said putting on his gloves. “Your uncle paid a lot of money to have you admitted here permanently.” Mira’s eyes widened slightly. “…. Permanently…?” “He said your condition worsens whenever anyone mentions inheritance or pack authority.” The doctor smirked faintly. Mira stares at him with unbelief. Even if his uncle was trying to turn her into a mad woman, he should know better, he is a doctor after all. “He also warned us that your wolf might become violent.” “Her wolf?” Mira breath shakily, her wolf whimpered weakly inside her chest. “Violent?” Her wolf had barely spoken since her parents’ death. “You know… you wealthy wolves are always troublesome.” Mira jerked away instinctively. “I said I’m not insane!” “That is what everyone says when they arrive here, but now they are really insane.” He whispers to her. Mira’s eyes tinted in fear. “See?” the doctor said coldly towards the nurses. “Aggressive behavior. Get the injection!” One of the nurses quickly prepare an injection. Mira’s breathing quickened, realizing the people there are crueler than she ever imagined. “No…” The scent of the injection reached her instantly, the smell of the suppressant injection meant to weaken her wolf. “No!” She struggles violently as the guards holds her down on the bed. The silver restraints tightened around her arms and ankles. Pain shot through her body, her wolf cried in agony. “Please…” Mira whispered desperately. “I’m not crazy…” But no one listened to her, the needle pierced into her skin. A sharp burning sensation spread through her veins instantly. Her wolf let out a weak howl before falling silent. Mira froze. The silence inside of her terrifies her more than anything else now. Her wolf… She could not feel her anymore.
