Chapter 2: The Change

Aaron nodded at Eden and said, "I think the werewolf side knows what's going on among the vampires. That the vampire leader is currently sleeping and right now, within the vampires there is competition for the position of vampire leader. Several elders have left the main castle and they started planning to take the power of the vampire leader in various ways. One of them is by making many cases which will surely cause enmity between the main castle and the humans and werewolves. At this time, we sincerely apologize for our negligence in taking care of the vampires and we are currently chasing the traitor vampires so give us time to catch the traitor. And also I just remind you that werewolves or humans should not interfere with our business, let alone cooperate with the traitors".

"Are you vampires not planning to compensate and receive punishment for what you did so you blame the vampire's traitors?", said one of the werewolf envoys.

Aaron turned to the werewolf envoy and said coldly, "What do you want, then?".

"Prisoners, prove your sincerity by coming with us, His Highness", said the werewolf envoy which made Aaron look at him sharply and Eden looked at the werewolf sharply too.

Ethan continued to hold Eden by holding Eden's hand which was under the table. Mr. Oswald smiled and said slightly disdainfully, "Isn't that the only way to prove that you really want to be responsible for what happened? His Highness, I want you to come with me. If the vampire traitor is caught and it is proven that they were the ones who did these evil things, then please hand them over or punish them in front of us all, and then I will release you."

Suddenly it was as if there was a strong wind blowing for a while and suddenly someone's voice was heard, "I know you are very crazy in love with my son, but don't you have a mirror? My son, Aaron, is still very young and handsome while you are so old. Can you still have the shame to make a move on my son?".

Everyone was shocked and turned to the source of the voice. A man who looked to be in his late 30s or early 40s walked from the window towards them. The vampire leader who suddenly came made the atmosphere in the room immediately feel very upright, the aura of the purest and oldest vampire who had led the vampire for either tens of thousands of years or even hundreds of thousands of years was indeed extraordinary, making general Christian who was accustomed to the battlefield was very afraid.

Mr. Oswald also looks immediately uneasy with the arrival of the vampire leader. Eden breathed a sigh of relief with the arrival of the vampire leader. With the vampire's leader here, Aaron would be safe.

Ethan who saw Aeturnus' arrival pretended to be surprised just like the others, his face looked worried and uncomfortable but actually, Ethan felt very calm with Aeturnus' presence. Aaron greeted his father and got up from his seat because Aaron knew that there was no way his father would sit next to the werewolf leader, "Dad, are you coming? Please have a seat".

Eden who saw Aaron stand up from his seat also stood up from his seat and wanted to tell Aaron to sit in his seat but Aaron shook his head when he saw Eden who would give his seat for him. Eden stood beside Aaron and left his seat empty.

Aeturnus sat on Aaron's chair casually greeting Eden and Ethan, "Nice to meet you again, Chief Eden and..."

"His brother", continued Aeturnus who looked at Ethan with a sly look.

Ethan knows that Aeturnus already knows everything and will definitely take care of himself and Eden but seeing Aeturnus' sly look that he doesn't know what he is thinking, Ethan feels a little unsure if everything will end well or who knows what Aeturnus will do after that. Ethan turned to Aeturnus and nodded then said, "It's an honour for me to meet you again".

Aeturnus nodded then looked at Mr Oswald and said, "Hm, I've never met you before. Is Conri dead?".

Ethan, who heard Aeturnus' sarcasm, felt that age wasn't everything, it could be proven from Aeturnus' nature and attitude, which still looked childish even though he had lived for hundreds of years.

Everyone was shocked to hear the vampire leader's words because Conri was a legendary werewolf leader who lived hundreds of years ago and was known for his extraordinary strength and being the longest in werewolf history. Conri is also known as the Wolf King, who lived for more than 200 years. Conri is also the one who upholds the werewolf's name because it can make the werewolf able to be in its heyday and can match the power of vampires.

Aaron lowered his head and whispered to his father but his voice was clearly heard by the others, "Father, Conri has died about 500 years ago. By now dozens of werewolves have changed to leading werewolves".

The vampire leader chuckled and said, "Ah I forgot that your life is so short that you can have very big ambitions and do everything to achieve your goals".

The werewolf leader stared intently but his gaze only lasted a moment as the vampire leader stared back at him. The vampire leader took out an ancient scroll of paper and threw it in the center of the table. Everyone looked at the old paper roll. The werewolf leader was about to take it but the vampire leader said, "It is a blood agreement between humans, vampires, and werewolves. The agreement is very binding, when one violates the agreement there will be direct sanctions."

The werewolf leader didn't take the ancient scroll, Eden took the ancient scroll and tried to open it but the scroll wouldn't open.

The vampire leader said, "You must use the blood of the three agreement makers to open it".

"Is the blood agreement real? I've never heard of it," said General Christian.

Eden answered General Christian's question, "The blood agreement is true and there is only one original while there are three copies, one at the defense ministry which is deposited in the antiquities museum, one in the werewolf's hands, and the other in the Special Investigation Unit. The real one is in front of us."

Eden couldn't use his blood because he was a werewolf but he wasn't a werewolf leader. Eden walks up to Mr Oswald and asks him to give him his blood. Mr. Oswald saw it all then cut his fingertip and dripped it on the end of the ancient scroll. When the blood fell, it seemed as if the blood was directly absorbed by the scroll without a trace.

Eden heads to General Christian, General Christian hesitantly cuts his fingertip with a pin and drips his blood onto the scroll. The same thing happened to General Christian's blood. Finally, Eden asked the Vampire Leader to give him his blood. The vampire leader pushed the scroll slowly and said, "I can't because I'm the one who keeps this blood agreement. Aaron is the one who can give the blood".

Eden nodded and pointed the scroll at Aaron. Aaron slightly cut the tip of his finger until the blood was dripping and dropped it onto the scroll. Moments later, the scroll changed its color from a yellowish-brown like old paper to a red color and began to open.

The texts of the scroll could clearly be read by everyone in the room.

Ethan returns to the office with General Christian and when he gets to the office, General Christian leaves immediately. Ethan was about to get back in the car to go home but his body suddenly felt hot and strange. Ethan gulped, his hand gripping the car door. The bodyguard who saw him immediately approached and asked, "Sir, are you okay?".

Ethan shook his head feeling a little dizzy, "Uhm, I'm fine. Help me get into the car".

The bodyguard immediately nodded and opened the car door and helped Ethan into the car. The bodyguard asked, "Sir, do I need to call the doctor to come home after this?".

Ethan refused and said, "No need, I just need to rest. Let's hurry home".

"Okay, sir", replied the bodyguard who immediately got into the car.

Ethan felt very uncomfortable, his body felt hot and his head felt dizzy.

The bodyguard sitting in front of him glanced at Ethan who looked sweaty and looked uncomfortable. He was worried about his boss and asked again, "Sir, are you sure you are okay? You are sweating and you look pale".

Ethan wiped the sweat dripping from his temples and said quietly, "Hm, I'm going to sleep for a while when I get there please wake me up".

"Alright sir", said the bodyguard who glanced at Ethan again before looking ahead.

Even though Ethan said that he was going to sleep, Ethan instead opened his cell phone and called Eden. He wanted to ask Eden about Aeturnus because even though Ethan had met Aeturnus several times but he didn't know how to contact Aeturnus and this time he felt that his uncomfortable body might be due to the pill Aeturnus had given him. Ethan felt he had to contact Aeturnus immediately.

After texting Eden, Ethan closed his eyes for a moment before the sound of the phone ringing. Ethan opened his eyes and picked up the phone call from Eden, "Hello".

"What happened?", asked Eden through the phone.

"It's okay, I just have a little need with the vampire leader. If you can call, ask him to meet me", replied Ethan weakly.

"Hm, then I'll ask Aaron to contact the vampire leader", said Eden who didn't ask Ethan much.

But Eden, who heard his older brother's voice which sounded different, became a little worried and asked, "Brother, are you okay? You sound not okay?".

"I'm fine, just a little tired," replied Ethan who didn't want to worry Eden.

"Hm, then take a rest. It seems Aaron has contacted the vampire leader. If anything happens, call me", Eden said ending the conversation.

"Okay, thanks," said Ethan before hanging up.

Ethan put his phone in then closed his eyes again and fell asleep. The bodyguard opened the car door for Ethan but Ethan was still asleep, his body was sweating and his lips looked very pale. The bodyguard slowly called Ethan to wake him up, "Sir, Sir... We've arrived home".

Ethan didn't wake up and instead mused as if he felt his body uncomfortable, "Hmm.. uhm".

"Sir?", the bodyguard leaned closer to Ethan to take a closer look at Ethan.

The bodyguard's face immediately changed and looked red. He looked shocked and moved backwards until his head accidentally hit the car door. He looked around and said to the bodyguard who was nearby, "Hey, did you put a fragrance in the car?".

"What fragrance?", asked the bodyguard who was also driving the car confusedly.

"In the car, it smells very sweet", said the bodyguard who was still standing in front of the rear car door with his face turning red and glancing into the car.

"Ah, you're making it up. Quickly wake up Sir Ethan. It is already late", said the bodyguard who had been driving.

"Sir? We've arrived", the bodyguard again tried to wake Ethan and touched Ethan's shoulder.

The sweet fragrance made the bodyguard look even redder and stared at Ethan's sweaty body which made him look sexy. He swallowed hard at Ethan and was about to touch Ethan again but someone tapped him on the shoulder which startled him. The bodyguard immediately turned to look at the person who tapped him on the shoulder and was even more surprised to see the person's handsome face but his expression was very scary. The bodyguard was shocked and asked haltingly because of that person's very strong aura, "Who... who are you?".

"Get out of the way," replied Aeturnus, who got rid of the bodyguard and got into the car.

"Hey!! wait!! What did you want to do to Sir Ethan?", asked the bodyguard in a panic and a louder voice that made other bodyguards turn around and notice the arrival of the stranger.

The bodyguards pulled out their guns and pointed them at Aeturnus. Aeturnus just looked at them coldly, ignored them and only focused on Ethan who he carried out of the car.

All the bodyguards broke out in cold sweat because now their boss was in the hands of someone they didn't recognize. Plus, that person looked very strong with a frightening aura and for the werewolf alphas they would know if the person in front of them was a pure vampire.

"Sir?", someone from inside the house rushed out.

Aeturnus turned to the person and just nodded then disappeared along with a blanket of blood that quickly appeared and quickly disappeared as well.

Everyone was shocked except for the person who had just come out of the house. He knew that everyone was shocked and said, "All of you go back to your duties and watch your mouths".

Everyone immediately nodded and left the place to return to their respective positions. The middle-aged butler just sighed and turned to go back into the house.

Aeturnus put Ethan on the bed slowly, he checked Ethan's body which was sweating profusely. He mumbled as he unbuttoned Ethan's shirt, "The pill has reacted, you are becoming more and more clear that you are a female werewolf. You have to be careful going forward".

Ethan opened his eyes slowly feeling his body feel fresher and the sound of water splashing beside him. He felt someone's body behind him, the warmth of his skin touching the cold skin despite being soaked in the warm water.

"Are you awake?" asked Aeturnus slowly.

Ethan immediately woke up and suddenly turned to look at the naked man behind him, hugging him in the bathtub. The slippery bathtub made Ethan even fall over and almost drowned his head in the water, luckily Aeturnus immediately caught him and held Ethan's body in his arms.

"Don't worry, I didn't do anything to you. Your body is reacting to the pill I gave you and slowly starting to change. I'm just helping you to reduce the discomfort," said Aeturnus in a soft voice and helped Ethan to sit up slowly.

Ethan sighed and asked, "Tell me what happened? I only remember falling asleep in the car on the way home after talking to Eden on the phone earlier".

Aeturnus rubbed water on Ethan's shoulder which made Ethan feel goosebumps and the skin that Aeturnus touched immediately felt ticklish and warm. Ethan closed his eyes feeling every soft touch of Aeturnus rubbing his body slowly. Aeturnus said quietly, "I arrived just in time before your bodyguard touched you and I carried you into your room. You slept quite well, you seem too tired".

Ethan opened his eyes and slapped Aeturnus' hand which slowly walked to his chest and said, "Hm, I think that's enough for me to take a bath even though the water is no longer warm. I'll come out and you can continue to shower".

Aeturnus pulled Ethan who was about to stand up from the bathtub and said, "What's important is not the bath but I'm masking your scent which will tempt many werewolves with my scent. So sit quietly".

Ethan sighed and sat slightly away from Aeturnus. Aeturnus smiled slightly seeing Ethan's level and said, "It would be even better if we did something more than soaking together".

Ethan rolled his eyes and said lazily, "Don't overdo it".

Aeturnus smiled at Ethan's answer then pulled Ethan's body closer and clung to his body, "Go back to sleep, you look very tired. By bathing with me, you will get energy and your female werewolf scent will be covered by my scent".

Ethan, who knew that this would not end soon, finally gave up and was about to lean his head on the side of the bathtub but Aeturnus immediately brought his head to his chest and hugged Ethan. Aeturnus whispered right in Ethan's ear, "Go to sleep".

Ethan slowly felt more comfortable and finally fell asleep in Aeturnus' arms. Aeturnus who saw Ethan who had been sleeping looked smiling then slowly released his hand that was hugging Ethan and took a small knife that he had prepared beside the bathtub. The hand that had gently touched Ethan's body now very roughly brought a knife to cut his own hand until blood was dripping and dripping on Ethan's skin. The water which was originally white because of soap and smelled of soap has now changed from drops of blood that come out profusely to change the color of the water to red and smells of blood.

But even though the blood flowing out of his hands was a lot, Aeturnus' face was still flat without any expression of pain at all. Very cold, Aeturnus who seemed to have numbed it still supported Ethan's body in his arms with his own blood for him to soak. Only Ethan was sound asleep without realizing how cold and heartless the person holding him was.
