Dalton could do nothing but stand and stare. The pod hatch had opened easily enough once the foam cleared; thankfully not too damaged by their rough landing. Blist had been wrong about the pod’s design too. Dregs of grey bubbles still melted into the ground all around, the pod seeming to have spewed foam both internally and externally on contact with the ground.
