Chapter 3:
I have always wondered why my mum called me a hero in my dreams. I mean, at that time, I was six, what had I done at that age to be honoured with a title like that.
"Rayelle!"
I have to admit thou, I liked the sound of my mum calling me that, that's what I aspire to be.
"Rayelle!"
"What?!" I shout, suddenly snapping out of it. But as I do, I take in the scene around me. Where was I? In my bed dreaming, talking to my mum. Where I am now, I don't know. It looks unrecognisable, but the voice that is calling me is so familiar,I can feel it vibrating through my bones, through my hair, and around my heart. Flame. It engulfs the room, my room. I need to get out, so I jump up. I have performed the move of extinguishing fire over a thousand times, so why can't I stop my hands from shaking? The voice! Someone needs me. That seems to snap me out of whatever I was in, a quick wave of my hand and the fire parts, leaving me a way through. Where are you?
"Rayelle!" I follow the voice. I know where they are, only one room echoes like that. Knowing were I need to go, I quickly gain speed, moving and extinguishing fire as I go. As I round the corner the biggest cloud of smoke and fire hits my. I stumble. "Rayelle! Save them. Heroes always win!" I take a breath, and then scream. My whole body radiates the red light this time, and in a second the flames are gone, black ashes the only thing thing left, falling like snow. I saved them.
I walk outside in a daze. I know that voice. A voice so comforting, yet so painful to hear. "Well done, my darling girl. You were brave." I fall and everything goes black.
