Chapter 2:
I don't know who my parents were, the Gods do, I can tell when I look them in the eye. The only thing I remember is that my mother's eyes were a light green, like mine. When I imagine what she looks like, I see a woman with long curly hair, lighter than mine but still a dark brown. Her nose would be like mine, just a littler longer. She would have a prominent cheek bone and jaw, like me. In my head, she looks so much like me, but better. I think that was just my way of getting to know her a bit more, even if it is just pretend. I dream about her too:
"If you feel like there's something more, go find it," she said, holding me tight.
"But, were do I start?"
She raised her hand and touched my chest with her four finger,"You start in here, Rayelle."
"What if the Gods don't let me thou?"
"Then you fight. My darling, you, are a hero, and heroes always win." Her eyes looked sad, whilst downcast.
"No they don't."
"Oh yea, have you ever lost a game of chess?"
Rayelle. That was the only thing the Gods told me of my old life. My name. My mum, or my dream mum was always there when I needed her. I wish she was there in real life. I don't know why she gave me away, but I hope I can one day ask her in person. For some reason I never ask her in dreams.
My name is Rayelle, 17 years old. Ten years ago, I started developing, ... powers. I don't exactly know what that will mean for me, but ever since
Athena scared the crap out of me, I have been able to produce a fiery red substance. God that sounded formal. Since then, Zeus has been teaching me, and I have learnt fast, really fast. I can control the elements, gravity, and space, which makes me pretty much the most powerful of all the Gods. I was awarded that title at the age of 11. At the age of 12, I was awarded the title of Warrior, after going into my first battle.
Now, I travel the galaxy, fighting battles with Zeus and the other warriors. After winning my 50th battle, (yea, God's have a lot of wars) I was awarded the title of head Warrior, which most of the others were not to happy about as most have been fighting for over 50 years. Most of the warriors are divines ( children of demigods ) so I have nothing to worry about.
