The beginning
Bright sunlight crept through the library window, it was almost blinding. It was like peering out at the ocean as the sun crept it's way on top. Alexandra sighed as her ear buds blared music, drowning out the rest of the bustle from the after spring break crowd, she couldn't figure out how these people could disrespect the wonderful silence this library brought to those of us who were drowning. A small ding brought her out of her trance.
Stupid quinder. She thought as once again she matched with a douche. Like the last one wasn't enough her subconscious mocked.
Gradually she gathered her books regretting her decision to move to this school. She was suffocating in loneliness. Even her dorm mate was a total tool. She couldn't hold a conversation without mentioning her ass hat boyfriend. Whatever, time to get to class anyways. Alexandra huffed as she stuffed her items into thesmall school bag and turned to leave.
As she turned she ran right into a giant wall of flesh. Once she had spilled all of her items on the floor, which would only be appropriate, she groaned outwardly. Not only was she going to be late and he knocked her ear buds out but now she needed to apologize to someone who couldn't stay within a decent distance from another human being.
Suddenly the wall of a man leaned down smirking at her. Her anger flared until she fully took in his features. He has a jaw line for days, not only that but he had to have been close to 6 foot 5. His blonde hair looked as though he combed it perfectly with his fingers. Alexandra's heart was eating irregularly fast as she stared at this man completely dumb founded.
"Are you ok, miss?" Even his voice was a dream. What had she done.. this God was mentally assaulting her. She was practically drooling over this poor man as her heart pounded from her chest.
"I um.. I'm sorry.. I was.. distracted." Alex mumbled under breath and she raked her eyes down his form before looking at his shoes. She swiftly grabbed her items and stood, shoving all her items back into her bag. "Could I get you a coffee as a way of apology? I really am sorry.." Alex blushed as soon as the words left her lips. Quickly she tried to recover tucking her shoulder length brown hair behind her ear. God could this get any more awkward!
"No, thank you miss. But I might need a rain check for the apology. Not every day someone runs into me in that way." His smile screamed mischievous as her eyes shot up at his rejection. Her imagination ran with her dying in numerous just as equally embarrassing ways.
"We dont offer rain checks on apologies. Sorry again." She huffed her embarrassment making her slightly rage inside. How DARE he make a joke of his mistake. Ugh. She turned and shoved her ear buds back in her ears allowing her music to drown out her embarrassment. Alex could not believe she made a fool of herself like that, she kept questioning what was wrong with herself as she darted to her business and economics class.
She wasn't even sure she could stand to listen to professor Cambell drone on and on today. At least she could comb through her studying and work on other class work while he did. Plus of being a dork in high school? Dual enrollment. She laughed to herself as the door creaked while she crept to a seat in the back row. Trying to be a ghost wasn't her thing but at least Cambell didn't notice she was this late today.
Alex pulled one ear bud out and started to get comfortable when a familiar face walked into the room. No, she thought as the familiar blond head appeared. Instantly her embarrassment and rage resurfaced. As quickly as she got comfortable he locked eyes with her and waved smiling, as though they were friends for years. Her rage got the better of her.
She stood grabbing her books from her small desk, she flipped him the bird which caused a couple classmates to giggle, as she turned and stormed from the room. Her rage carrying her anywhere but here.
