Chapter 3

Damon

I drove my car at it's fullest speed, hoping and praying to God that nothing bad has happened to my baby, God I don't think I'll be able to survive if anything bad happens to her, she's my life I trust her with my all. Katie and I dated from High school on our 10th grade, she is everything that I want in a woman but my dad thinks otherwise.

He says she's not the one for me hence why whenever he finds a chance to drive a wedge between me and Katie, he takes that opportunity with both hands , just like tonight I told him that I have plans with Katie but instead he made me attend an eighteen year old birthday celebration, sure I get the fact that Angelina is his friend's daughter but damn he's really straining my relationship with Katie and I have a lot of apologizing to do.

I reached Katie's apartment in no time as it's already late at night so there is not much traffic on the road, I parked my car in her spot as she lives in the gated community apartments so she has her own spot right in front of her apartment, what's really weird is that her lights are still on, I try to call her again but still my calls are left unanswered.

I then went to her door, knocked no one answered, I turned her knob, it turned meaning she didn't lock her front door, "she's reckless"I thought to myself as I got inside I heard music playing in the background, I'm talking about bedroom music, you know the one that set the mood, you know the likes of dvsn, Muna long, SZA, HER, summer walker , you know those type of songs but what's strange is that she's not in her living room where the music is playing from, then on her coffee table I saw a bottle of Nerdeburg red wine with two wine glasses.

I passed that as I went to her bedroom, pushed the door opened and what I saw was enough to run a preacher wild, my beautiful lovely Katie is underneath a guy who is thrusting into her deeply, her eyes closed, taking all the deep, rough thrusts of that guy I don't know, what's worse is that he is chocking her and she seems to be enjoying it as she is a moaning mess. I stood there watching everything in awe as I could not believe that my Katie is having s*x with a guy who is not me and what's sad is that they are so engrossed in the s*x that they didn't even hear the door opening.

They both came undone Infront of me, as soon as the guy collapsed on top of Katie, Katie pushed him off of her sat up straight on the bed then opened her eyes only to be met with my eyes, tears streaming down my face, color draining from her face as she gasped

"Babe" She said as she wrapped the sheets around her naked body, I turned away from her without answering her

"Babe wait please let me explain" she said running after me, still I didn't acknowledge her, I went straight to her front door but she beat me to it by standing in front of my way

"Damon baby please let me explain, it's my first time that I cheated on you please baby you have to believe me" She came Infront of me trying to hug me but the scene I have witnessed is still fresh in my mind besides she is reeking of s*x she just had with another man in front of me .

"Don't touch me you hoe, I'm no longer your baby we are over" I bellowed my voice booming inside her apartment

"I'm not a hoe baby you don't mean that" She cried as she also screamed on top of her lungs

"Then what do you call what you just did right now, isn't that hoeing? ..."

"Is this how you thank me after everything I have done for you Katie " I asked tears streaming down my face as I folded my arms

"Babe it's an obstacle we're facing we'll get through this" she said trying to touch me but I pushed her hands away from me

"I said don't touch me, see I'm crying for wasting my time on a low, selfish, hoe like you" I spat

"Don't act innocent too Damon, we both know that you are a weak, pathetic little boy who still obeyes his father's rules, you are so weak that you can't stand up to your own father, how long will you allow him to control you huh" She asked mad ,banging her little fists on my folded arms

"Me being weak didn't give you the right to cheat on me Katie this was your own doing and..." she cut me off

"My own doing! who's fault is it that we don't meet regularly, you went abroad who waited for you to come back huh, I did, who is always getting stood up on dates Damon King Knight answer me " she said tears replaced by anger

"So you thought cheating will help our relationship, true you're always getting stood up on but I have my reasons as I am twenty two I am still under my dad's wing , I am learning from him , working hard for the both of us so that our family won't suffer, we made plans Katie , we planned everything together but no you had to ruin us by sleeping with another man, where is he by the way " with that I turned and went to Katie's bedroom,found that fucker wearing his last shoe.

I didn't speak I shoved my fist into his face, I picked him up and threw him on his back on the tiled floor

"Damon please stop you're hurting him" Katie cried as she stood in front of me ,sheet slipping from her beautiful body, standing there naked while begging me to stop hitting his accomplice.

"So you didn't think you're hurting me when you slept with him " I pointed to this stranger laid there lifeless, who is now red on the face due to his own blood

" I'm sorry baby I'm sorry I'm so so sorry if I could turn back the time I would.. I would" she cried big fat tears escaping her eyes mixed with mucus

" But you can't turn back the time now can you" I asked her looking at her dull brown eyes, eyes where I once lost myself in them and I'm hating myself right now as it is.

"No I can't"she whispered, shoulders vibrating with her silent crying and sniffling

I put my right bruised hand on my right pocket and brought out a small, square shaped black velvet box and tossed at Katie's face

"Tonight I was planning to propose you as I love you with all my life, well I loved you with all my life that's in the past now but our dinner date didn't happen, I tried calling you numerous times and you didn't answer my calls ,do you have any idea how worried sick I was when you wasn't picking up my calls" I questioned, she looked up at me with red swollen eyes, mucus running from her nose at least now she has wrapped the sheet around her body again because she makes me sick I really feel like vomiting.

"Don't say anything" I continued

"I left the party drove like a madman trying to get to you thinking that maybe you are hurt but nooo you're having the best time of your life, getting f****d by another man ,who was chocking you , f*****g you hard and rough in front of my presence"I cried as I let my bloodied hand wipe my tears , she tried coming close to me but I stepped back saying

"I treated you gently, like a delicate flower if I knew you was a hoe then I would have treated you like one but now it's over and let me tell you something Katie you have succeed in breaking me ,that is what you wanted right, to shutter my heart into million peices ,well bravo you did that enjoy your life and your new man Katie" I turned walking out of her bedroom with her stalking behind me trying to stop me ,she held me by my arms

"Damon baby I'm sorry if I knew that you were planning on proposing me then I wouldn't have cheated on you, baby please one more chance I'm begging you" she kneeled in front of me holding one of my leg not wanting to let me leave, still I got out of her iron grip not once looking at her as she is crying loudly, rolling on her black fur carpet.

"We are done " I said as I left her apartment heading straight to my car with an aching heart.
