My escape

Lily

I woke up in a dark room that smelled exactly like woods and mint. It didn't take me long to realize the strong scent was coming from my beautiful mate. As I rolled over I came nose to nose with the tall muscular man. I smiled as I felt the sparks caused by his arm wrapped tight around my waist. I studied his face as he slept, from his full lips and chiseled jaw to his long lashes and messy hair. I slipped out of his arms as quickly and quietly as I could and had to hold back a giggle when he frowned and sat up quickly. "Why are you up" he mumbled wiping away at his eyes. "Go back to sleep I'm just looking around" I answered as I looked around the room which I assumed was his.

The room was huge, with a door on each wall. One of the doors was glass and led outside onto a small balcony. I looked around the room and saw a large mahogany desk in front of a very large bookshelf full of books. I ran my fingers over the beautiful wood before moving to the door closest to the desk. The door led into a huge walk in closet, half of the closet was full of his clothes and shoes while the other half was full of my stuff that I had brought with me from hell. It wasn't much, a few outfits and dresses, a couple pairs of shoes and a silver necklace with a wolf engraved on it. That was all I owned, I quickly picked a pair of underwear and a matching bra before grabbing my black dress and leaving the closet. I walked back into the room and looked towards the large bed to see it empty. Instead of focusing on that I opened another door that led into a bathroom.

The bathroom was beautiful, it was a blue color that matched his eyes, there were two sinks separated by a counter. On the other side of the bathroom was the biggest bathtub I had ever seen, I practically ran towards it and cut on the hot water and added bubbles I walked around the bathroom for a moment while waiting for the tub to fill up. I continued to look around the bathroom as I began to get undressed and step into the steaming water. I soaked my entire body into the tub until just my eyes and nose were above the water.

Alex

I woke up and saw that Lily was already awake and looking around. When had I fallen asleep? I thought to myself before rubbing my eyes and asking why she was up. I did not really pay attention to her answer until I saw that she had practically disappeared. I jumped up but relaxed when I saw her standing in our closet. I had moved all of her stuff in there last night after she passed out. "Alpha we have a problem" My beta yelled in my head. "Where are you" I said frantically running out of the room. "Ground floor" he responded before going silent. I ran down the stairs and nearly fell on my face as I saw dozens of demons standing by the door.

"What's going on" I yelled over the chaos of noises. "They are trying to take her back" my beta said before the demons could answer. "Lily has been banished here to earth for breaking a sacred law, after further investigation we have decided she is too dangerous to run free" the tallest demon said in an emotionless tone. "No" I yelled as I fought for control over my wolf. "You can't take my mate" I continued with my whole body shaking. "I can and I will" the demon responded coldly, "Find her so we can leave this planet" he said and the demons scattered to search for Lily. I have to get her out of here before they take her. There is no telling what they would do to her. I ran up to my room and grabbed a duffle bag. I stuffed all of her stuff in the duffle bag and went into the bathroom trying to maintain control over my wolf. I have to protect her even if it hurts both of us. She has to leave.

Lily

I heard Alex yell that they could not take his mate and I was confused. I quickly washed myself and dried off before getting dressed. As I was brushing my hair the door was nearly knocked off its hinges by an angry looking Alex. "What's going on" I asked as he looked around in panic. "They are here, you have to leave" he whispered as he dropped a duffel bag full of my stuff at my feet. "Leave, what do you mean leave? Who is here" I asked confused. "Just go before you make it harder on all of us" he said as he turned and left. As he turned I saw tears in his eyes and felt his wolf cry. I quickly picked up the bag and went onto the balcony. I saw demons everywhere which was weird because they rarely came to earth. Something was wrong and I had to get out of here. I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen off of the desk and wrote Alex a letter.

Dear Alex,

I know we never had a chance to get to know each other but I know I will never forget you. I do not know when we will see each other again but we have forever. Goodbye Alex I'll see you again someday. Love, Lily

I placed the note under the book on his desk before jumping off of the balcony. I heard the demons yelling and chasing me as I ran towards the woods with the duffle bag on my shoulder. I cannot go back to hell, I just can't and with that thought I just ran faster. I let the trees hide my fleeting form from the demons as I made my escape. "Bye" I mumbled as I glanced back one last time as the house became covered by the trees.
