It was the first day of college and Christina had dreamed of being a computer programmer since she was young. She wasn't especially beautiful so to her, that dream just made sense. She was 18 and fresh out of high school. Never popular in high school, she thought it sort of funny that anyone would see her as beautiful. At least that was what she told herself when her bestfriends boyfriend said she was. Her best friend, Celeine, had just introduced Christina to her boyfriend. His name was Kyle.
Kyle was the rugged outdoor type but he also seemed like a bad boy which is why it seemed odd to Christina that she was thinking he was cute. Kyle took more than a second glance at Christina. She was a big girl with shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes. She also wore glasses and no makeup. She had a natural beauty that she didn't seem to realize she possessed. Kyle had to make her realize that she was beautiful although he didn't know how he would do that since he was already dating her best friend. What Kyle didn't know was that Christina was also taking more than a second glance at him.
Christina couldn't believe that she was looking at Kyle with more than just passing glances. She honestly thought that he was cute. She knew that he would probably give a girl like her a second look but she just couldn't take her eyes off of him. She kept looking down every time that he would look her way trying to keep her distance for the sake of her friendship with Celeine. Little did she know that Kyle wanted to get to know her as well. Kyle just seemed so bad boy good. She had never even been kissed. What would it feel like to be kissed by Kyle? Why am I having these thoughts about my best friend's boyfriend? That just isn't like me. I have always thought boys were cute but have always know that I am just too big for them to like me.
Kyle kept trying to get Christina's attention but she kept looking down when he would look her way. "Why is she looking down?", he thought. She is beautiful. I just want to let her know how beautiful she really is. And those lips, those beautiful lips. I want to kiss her. But would she let me? She seems awfully shy. I wonder if I try to kiss her, what would she do? Would she kiss me back? If only I could get her alone so I could try. I'll have to wait till Celeine goes to work.
Celeine had a job in the college administrative office. She normally worked every afternoon from 2 until around 5 or 6. The hours that she worked totally depended on what she had to do. Celeine had known Christina since they were in middle school together. They had been friends for just about as long. Celeine thought she knew all there was to know about Christina. She knew that due to the way Christina was raised she had never worn a single pair of jeans. She had never worn earrings or makeup. No lipstick or even fingernail polish. Christina was very smart but people didn't give her a fair chance. Celeine sort of felt sorry for Christina because of how naive she really was. She had lived such a sheltered life that she was clueless on the ways of the streets and totally gullible. Christina had older parents that had a very tight leash on Christina. She couldn't have phone calls or friends over. At the age of 18, she still had a 9pm curfew. Wow, what kind of life was that? There were several small differences between her and Celeine but there was one major difference. No boy had ever paid Christina any sort of attention. So Celeine had told Kyle to be extra nice to Christina. Celeine didn't know that her attempts to show Christina that a boy could be nice would backfire on her.
Christina was only 17 when she graduated from high school. She was one of the only people in her family to actually graduate (aside from her mother that is). None of her siblings had graduated. They had all quit. But Christina didn't let that bother her. She couldn't afford to. She was the baby of the family but she also had the most responsibilities. By the time Christina was born, the youngest sibling was grown and out of the house. Christina's dad was old and really couldn't do much for himself except to get on her and her mother's last nerve. Christina often said that if she ever got away from her dad she would never go back. Christina's mother was what kept her home. Christina couldn't bear the thought of leaving her mom. She was a lot like her mother in a lot of ways. She was strong and strong willed just like her mom. Had gorgeous long brown hair just like her mom. But Christina didn't have a boyfriend or even any male friends and that was so unlike her mother. Her mom was faithful to her dad but she had male friends.
Kyle was the type of boy that just had a certain charisma about him. Something that just attracted girls. He had blue eyes and wavy brown hair. He wore glasses and had a smile to stop a girl's heart. He had a small amount of facial hair (which Christina found to be a little bit of a turn on). Kyle was 5ft 8in and an easy 135lbs. Kyle had a certain style about him that Christina had never seen on any other boy. But then again, she had never had a boy pay her attention so she had never paid a boy that much attention either.
Kyle waited until Celeine went to work and then asked could he hang out with Christina. She didn't have anything else to do and since he was Celeine's boyfriend, she had asked Celeine if it was okay. Celeine had said yes so off her and Kyle had went. First the had just kind of strolled around the college campus then for a reason that Christina didn't understand Kyle had taken her behind one of the buildings. He just held her hand and they talked most of the afternoon until it was time to go back to the Administrative Building and meet Celeine after work. Christina felt sort of funny holding his hand but he said it was just a friendly gesture and everything was okay. So they walked back and met up with Celeine. Celeine and Kyle kissed and off the three of them went until Christina's parents showed up to pick her up. Christina couldn't stop thinking about Kyle and went to sleep that night thinking of his lips and wondering what it would feel like to be kissed by him. She soon dismissed the idea and went off to sleep.
The next day Christina couldn't wait to get to the campus and meet up with her friends. Especially Kyle whom she had been dreaming of since he had held her hand the day before. It felt good to Christina for a boy to pay her any attention but she also felt kind of weird because the attention was coming from her best friend's boyfriend. Celeine was the first one to spot Christina as she pulled up and got out of her parents truck. Celeine motioned for Christina to come over and as normal, Kyle was right there with her. Christina tried to keep her smile at the sight of him hidden but he had seen and he smiled right back at her. The whole morning before her first class was spent hanging out with Celeine and Kyle. The whole time, Kyle was trying to sneak hold her hand again. It felt wonderful but weird all at the same time. Wasn't he supposed to be her best friend's boyfriend? Then why was he trying to be with her? She felt sure that she was just imagining things and quickly dismissed the idea, sure that she had to be mistaken. There was no possible way that Kyle was paying that kind of attention to her. Not someone who was unattractive as she thought she was.
Celeine had no clue as to what was going on behind her back as she was walking. She didn't know that Kyle was trying to make moves on Christina. And Christina didn't know that what Kyle was doing was considered making a move. Christina went off to class and Celeine promised that her and Kyle would be right there when Christina got out of class.
Christina went to her first class of the day and began daydreaming of Kyle. What was wrong with her? Why was she thinking of Kyle like this? Could she be mistaken about his interest in her? Was she just imagining that he had tried to hold her hand behind Celeine's back? What was really going on here? All questions that she didn't have answers to. All she knew was that she was all confused. Was it normal to feel this way? She had nothing to compare this to. All through high school she had been considered the fat girl and no one paid her any attention. Was this what love felt like? The uncertainties and the butterflies in her stomach each time Kyle was around. If this was love, it sure was confusing. She chose to attempt to pay attention to the professor for the next hour of class. The only thing she knew for sure was that she couldn't wait to see handsome Kyle again. He stirred a feeling in her that she had never felt before and it felt all gooey and warm like a fresh chocolate chip cookie straight from the oven.
Kyle couldn't stop thinking of Christina. He couldn't wait to see her but he couldn't let Celeine know that. Celeine and Kyle had gone to the cafeteria and waited for Christina. Kyle just ate a cheeseburger smothered with ketchup like he always ate it. Celeine couldn't stand when Kyle ate his food like that but what could she do. Celeine waited for her best friend to get out of class for what seemed like an eternity but it was actually only 90 minutes. As promised, Celeine and Kyle were right back to meet Christina when her class was over. Christina had mentioned being hungry so off the three of them went to the cafeteria. After Christina had eaten it was time for Celeine to go to her one class for the day and Kyle's chance to be alone with Christina again.
Kyle and Christina walked Celeine to her one class for the day. As soon as Celeine went inside, Kyle grabbed Christina's hand and started leading her toward the building that they had gone behind the day before. There was located on the outside of the building a cement bench where they could sit. The sat down and began talk. All the while, Kyle was staring into Christina's dark brown eyes. What was there behind those eyes he thought. He kept staring at her lips wondering if she would allow him to taste them. Soon, Christina noticed how Kyle was looking at her and thought that she must have had something stuck in her teeth from lunch. She subconsciously ran her tongue across her teeth hoping to dislodge whatever was stuck there.
Kyle just kept staring into her eyes and at her lips. He kept wondering if she would allow him to taste them. "Kyle, is something wrong?", Christina asked as she stared back at him. Kyle just smiled and kept staring. "Do I have something stuck in my teeth?", she asked as she ran her tongue across her teeth once more. "No", he replied as he just kept staring and smiling. Feeling a little uneasy and unsure as to what she would say, he leaned a little closer to her and whispered "Do you trust me?" She smiled brightly and answered, "Yes, of course I do."
At the thought of her trusting him, Kyle found himself thinking that maybe she would allow him to kiss her after all. "Would you follow me?", he asked as he stood and took her hand. She stood up, smiled, and answered him "Lead the way." Kyle took her in the door of the building and down a rather out of the way hallway. He took her into a classroom and told her to take a seat. She sat at one of the student desks. He walked over and took her hand as he led her to the teacher desk. She sat down and he then sat facing her. She stupidly asks, "Kyle what are you doing?" as he leaned in closer to her until his face was mere inches from hers. "Have you ever been kissed?", he asks as he leaned back and gently removed her glasses and laid them on the table. "No", she shyly answered. "How do you kiss?" He laughed at the silly question then said, "Here, I'll show you. If you don't mind that is." And with that, Kyle leaned in and gave Christina her first ever kiss.
The kiss was definitely better than she anticipated. It lasted longer than he thought it would. Especially for someone who had never kissed. As he held his lips on hers, she made a slight whimper. He took that to mean that she wanted to deepen the kiss and he slid his tongue between her parted lips. She was startled and didn't know what to do. She did what she thought was right and tried to bite his tongue. He leaned back and laughed. Then he told her that the kiss was called a french kiss and you weren't supposed to bite but explore the other person's mouth with your tongue. He leaned back in and kissed her again, this time her tongue fondled his as he deepened the kiss. For someone who had never kissed, she was pretty good. He drew back just before she could dive her tongue any deeper into his mouth thinking that this was enough for one afternoon. After all, this was her first kiss.
Wow, what a kiss she thought as he pulled back and broke the contact of their lips. She was still reeling when he suddenly stood and grabbed her hand pulling her to her feet in one swift motion. He grabbed both their glasses and began pulling her out of the room. He seemed to be in such a rush all of sudden. She thought surely she had done something wrong. That must be why he was in such a rush to get her out of the room. She didn't know that he was trying to keep up appearances with Celeine. They were late meeting her and he didn't want Celeine thinking that something was going on with him and Christina although he couldn't wait to get Christina alone again. That kiss had driven him just as wild as it had her. He wanted, no needed, the feel of her velvety soft lips on his again. He enjoyed teaching her and had so much more that he wanted to teach her. He had to remind himself though to take his time. After all, she was super shy and he didn't want to go too fast. Didn't want to scare her off before he had the opportunity to teach her oh so much more.
