HAUNTED

Chapter 1

Agent Clyde Hazel was busy preparing some dishes for herself and her daughter Daisy when the telephone rang. Just then the door swung open revealing Daisy who was breathing hard from running down the stairs with the telephone in hand. Hazel was making some donuts rolled in cinnamon with coffee for herself and tea for Daisy. Answering the call the familiar yet stern voice of her boss Carl Clemson filtered in from the other end of the phone. Carl was a man in his early fifties and is her boss at the bureau for homicide investigation. One thing Hazel had learnt from her short stay at the bureau was to keep her nose from cases assigned to other agents. She had been paired with various people from the homicide bureau, which was why hearing the curt voice of her boss ordering her to be at the headquarters by 8am left her reeling. This was supposed to be her vacation but at the pit of her stomach she knew this was no ordinary case. After having breakfast and getting Daisy prepared for school she dropped her at school before heading to the headquarters.

Driving her car into the parking lot, Hazel hurriedly rushed into the building and headed to the elevator that would take her to her boss office. The elevator stopped at the floor her boss office was located with a ding, striding down the corridor she strode to her boss's office. Getting into the office Carl bid her sit down, it was then she realized she had company apart from Carl and from the looks of it he seemed to be her partner in this case since he looked in his late thirties. The voice of her boss brought her out of her reverie she could not believe she had just been caught drooling like a teenage highschool girl who was seeing her crush for the first time though she had to admit he was handsome. His blue eyes seemed to draw up her darkest desires and she felt like running her fingers down his sandy blonde locks, overall he looked dangerously hot.
