THE RUN AWAY BRIDE

Chapter 1 In a dark tunnel, Demmy is seen wandering about confused and scared she walks farther to the end of the tunnel hoping to see light but darkness is seen. She turns back, suddenly she saw a shadow lurking around a corner looking at her, the shadow walks forward and his body is seen, he is a man, A tall man although is face is not seen he walks towards a direction she slowly walks back trying not to touch him, the fear in her increases, she tries to shout but her voice is not heard she tries harder, but every attempt to shout proves abortive. She feels her world is spinning, she can no longer control her muscles, all she can do is to stare at the creature even though she still can't see his face, he carries her by force, and a bright light shines on her face... "Demmy! Demmy, wake up' Tolani taps Demmy while holding a touch light on her hand. Demmy wakes up terrified, gasping for air, she looks at her environment at first, she is still in her office on her desk, she probably slept off when the power went off. "are you okay?" Tolani asked with a worried expression, "is it still that dream?" Demmy nodded still scared "forget about that now, it's getting late, let's go home, we'll discuss this in the bus" Tolani assured her and helped her up. The duo left their place of work, Tolani has always been Demmy's bestie right from their university days, they studied the same course, but works in different places. they both studied accounting. Demmy works as a customer service officer in Union back, while Tolani works as an Accountant in a microfinance bank, due to their closeness, Tolani comes to pick Demmy almost every day. Tolani is raised with the silver spoon, while Demmy is born into a lower class family, she is the second child of the family, her older brother proved to be useless so she's the breadwinner of her family, he has two younger brothers after her. Demmy stares at the outside the bus, looking lost , this expression greatly worried Tolani, she couldn't take it anymore and decided to make her friend laugh, she held Demmy's slender hands and made a silly face, Demmy lips curved into a slight smile, she hugged Tolani and laughed softly, "you're so silly. what would I ever do without you?' "I don't know ooo, because how will you even survive?" they both laughed, "I think this dream means something? something bad is about to happen Tolani' "normally I'm not a spiritual person, but I think you need to see your pastor on this case." she said raising a brow. Demmy sighed and rested her head on Tolani's shoulder. After a long ride, Demmy got home. "call me once you get home okay?" Demmy smiled and left.
