Demmy woke up excited, she walked to the bathroom, cleaned her self up and ran to wear the other clothe she had. She walked downstairs slowly and met mama in the kitchen fixing breakfast, she went to the kitchen and greeted her
"good morning ma"
"morning darling, quite an early riser i see, and you are already dressed"
Demmy smiled and collected the knife from mama
"let me help with that ma"
"no no, you shouldn't be doing That, oga will talk if he sees this, please my child, i appreciate your help"
Demmy frowned, but still managed to smile
"well that has to stop, why can't i help you with little chores. can i go to sweep the floor?"
"no, my child, the vacuum cleaner is already doing it."
"so there's nothing for me to do? i woke up early for nothing?"
"go and watch movies"
Mama smiled, Demmy sighed and walked out reluctantly, and walked back in,
"mama, has Kelvin always been this business oriented towards girls? has he never loved anyone before? i am so sorry to ask"
"yes, he makes contracts with them so he can have peace of mind from his father."
"oh, wow, does he not like girls? is he gay?"
mama stopped her cutting of onions and looked at Demmy, then she smiled and took her to seat on the chair in the kitchen, then she went back to her cutting.
"you want to know more about Kelvin why don't you ask him yourself dear?"
"i fear he won't tell me, i am just curious, and asking him such is not appropriate, i just want to know who I am living with for free."
"he is paying you to be his girlfriend, that is not free"
"that's not a job, its just a, an excuse for a job mama"
"dear, kelvin is a good person, and his business is legit, that is all i can tell you now child, please, ask him next time."
mama smiled, Demmy bite her lips feeling guilty,
"i am sorry, i was just curious"
"you are one curious rabbit. But remember that too much curiosity kills the mouse, that's why he walks to the rat gum"
mama winked, Demmy laughed and stood up, she went to help mama
"at least if i can't chop the veggies, i should at least give you the chopped ones to mix and if Kelvin should talk, i will defend you"
"you eh" Mama laughed and accepted her help
the both of them worked in unison, till it was 6:30 in the morning, they served the table together, and kept on chatting and laughing.
kelvin walked down the stairs, he was already dressed for work, he walked towards the laughing women in the kitchen, and raised a brow, and decided to make them notice him
"good morning!"
he walked back to the dining room and sat down in his usual chair
"good morning Kelv, how was your night?"
Demmy went to sit beside him
"you seem to be in a good mood today"
"is that bad? you don't seem to be in a good mood this morning"
mama walked in with water for the both of them and smiled at Kelvin, he only replied her with a lazy nod.
"well, Demmy, that has always been Mr. Kelvin's mood every morning"
she went back to her post, the kitchen in haste
"oof, that's bad Kelv, you should always be happy when you wake up, because it is not by your grace but God's grace."
she stood up to serve him,
"that's okay, i don't eat much. Don't forget your appointment today, and wear a cap or hat or mask, because you are missing"
Demmy pupils dilapidated, she covered her mouth,
"so soon? so i am a caged bird. it means yiur family would have seen it, how will they believe you?"
"well, they haven't seen you before, and i believe they would ignore it."
he said non challantly and ate his meal. Okiki knocked the door and came in, he saw them eating and greeted them. He was with another guy, he was dressed like him.
"good morning Okiki"
"good morning miss, this is James, Boss second P.A, he will go with Boss today, and i will go with you madam."
"oh hello James, nice to meet you"
"thanks alot Mam. Good morning boss"
kelvin stood up and walked out of the house, James quickly followed him out after grabbing his bags.
Demmy frowned, not even a goodbye, he just left and just yesterday he was smiling to her, she ate angrily, grumpy fool, if not because i'm at your mercy i would have left since. She thought in her head.
After eating, she left with Okiki, he took her to a Very big mall, Jabi mall, the area was cool and beautiful, but she could not explore much because she is to be discreet.
She was taken to the VIP segment, here she picked wisely, she had always been an economist in the house, she picked few clothes and undies, and shoes, slippers ann a sneakers, most of rhe items she picked were for her new career, modelling, she picked an Ankara and adire fabric, 36 yards, and some linen, threads for sowing, stay, and all other materials needed for sowing, Okiki helped her carry the sowing machine and he picked some bags for her as well.
Demmy went into the changing room to check her dress, when she came out to show Okiki, he was stunned at her beauty and endowment, he reminded her to pick some make up kits, although she wasn't a make up person, she had to obey, she picked some cream for her hair and skin, lastly, some sanitary pads and tissues were bought.
It was a long morning of shopping and changing.
On the way to Kelvin's hospital, Demmy was drawing some designs in the new notepad she got
"okiki"
"yes madam"
"how much is everything we bought? i did try to calculate it, o me its up to 150,000 right?"
Okiki smiled
"actually it is more than that, i picked more clothes for you at your back, some outing clothes"
"what! why? these clothes that i picked are okay"
"boss orders madam, he said he knew you would apply economics into your selection, so he told me to pick alot of modeling and outings clothes for you"
Demmy sighed in disbelief
"kelvin, how did you even know if those clothes will size me?"
"i know your size ma, you are size 8".
Demmy ws shocked, she looked at okiki from the back, Okiki found her expression cute from the mirror.
He dropped her in The hospital and her face was covered till they got to Kelvin's office. when they got to his office, they met a very beautiful lady, who dressed almost naked, her gown was so revealing that if she was not careful her big breast will fall out when she bends down, she was trying to seduce Kelvin, but he didn't even look at her, until Okiki walked in.
Kelvin stood up from his chair, and went to hug Demmy, she was shocked
"who is this?"
the lady asked disgusted and calm, Demmy felt annoyed, she released herself from, Kelvin's hold
"i should be asking that question, who are you?"
Kelvin was dazed, but he behaved confident
"what is this kelvin? who is this nonentity?"
"well, i will tell you, I am his girlfriend, and i do not like a w***e like you visiting my man, next time you want to come, were something better than rags okay?"
"what! how dare you? show your face witch, kelvin, you didn't tell me you had a girlfriend"
"sorry who are you?"
The lady picked her bag, and stormed out of the office. All eyes were Demmy who was still fuming with anger
"who is that harlot?" she asked Kelvin
Kelvin felt she was her real girlfriend with the way she questioned him
"don't worry Kelv, just show those girls to me and i will beat them, black and blue, sorry you had to see this side of me, but when next i see harlots beside you, just hold me back because i will rip their heads off their bodies"
she said angrily, Kelvin was shocked, he was utterly speechless, James and Okiki did nothing but look at theur bosses expression
"erm, that was a very good act Demmy"
he managed to say
"good act? excuse you Kelvin, i don't act, i am a very straight forward human being, she deserved it. did you see how she walked out?"
Demmy laughed and mimicked the lady swaying her hips lile the lady did to the door side. Kelvin was forced to laugh at theis point, he laughed so hard, he never knew he could laugh, James and Okiki were taken aback, they looked at their boss laughing so hard, that was new.
"see laughing looks good on you Kelv. Laugh more often"
Demmy pinched his cheeks like an older sister and sat down on the desk, Kelvin stopped laughing and smiled slightly to her, then he wore his lab coat
"come over here, for the tests"
"don't let it hurt me okay?"
"just look at my face, then you won't feel hurt. James follow me, Okiki stay back".
Kelvin carried Demmy to sit on the slab
"i can carry myself Kelv, you don't have to play romantic we are not in public"
"someone is becoming very bold"
"becoming? i am bold, very bold, the boldest human being on earth."
she scoffed and smiled later on
"thank you"
her smile became wider, Kelvin takes her palms and injects a pin inorder to get her blood samples
"for everything so far, i will repay your kind gesture, i might not be as rich as you, but i will in anyway i can."
after getting her blood samples, he gently rubbed her palms with a cotton wool.
"you want to repay me?"
he stylishly looked at her, she nodded in affirmation.
"you will, this night. i am gonna take you somewhere when i am back from work. Then you can repay me, don't ask questions now Demmy".
Demmy could only nod to let him do his job and wait for night time to come
