Chapter 13The Path to Paradise
Preston is frustrated with his defeat after the failed pursuit. He attempts to call the Governor, who appears on the screen immediately.
The Governor is angry and disgusted with Preston after hearing the series of events and sees the visual; he shouts at him, “You foolish, son of a b***h! Have you lost your mind? Have you deliberately forgotten the protocol for preservation of natural formation?”
“But we nearly captured them! They were almost dead!”
“But they aren’t! Isn’t it, captain?”
“Very, very close!”
“Imbecile!”
Preston looks frightened.
“You lose everything, Preston! Your children are no longer yours, we will proceed with their admission to the labour camps, and you, Preston, have a trial to face!”
“No! Please! No!”
