THE ALPHA REBORN

The loud banging of Mrs Catherine on Nicole's door woke her up.She yawned lazily, rubbing her eyes afterwards. "Open this goddamn door". Mrs Catherine shouted from outside and Nicole sucked her teeth visibly pissed about the interruption of her sleep. "Mom". Nicole called with a questioning look as she opened the door. "Why aren't you dressed?". Mrs Catherine said walking into her room with the sound of stiletto shoes following afterwards. "Dressed for what?" Nicole asked confused. "What kind of a child are you?". Mrs Catherine said surprised at Nicole's response. "Today is your first day of sophomore class and you can't afford to be late ". Mrs Catherine said jotting Nicole back to reality. Nicole was a 19 years old who had just gotten into college last year. She had actually spent the whole of her holiday mostly sleeping after being grounded as the repercussions for her last year acts as punishment from her mother. "Oh s**t". Nicole screamed running round her room as she tried to gather a few things. "As the new acting Chair lady, i can't afford to be late, you have just fifteen minutes to get ready". Miss Catherine said before walking out. "Fuckk". Nicole cursed as she searched her wardrobe for something good to wear. Maxwell College,one of the most popular colleges in the country located at the northern part of the country happens to be Nicole's alma mater. Having been in existence since the millennium. Maxwell College is known for their zero tolerance to immoral acts . Last semester Nicole and her friends were suspended for the vandalism of the school's property but the punishment didn't just end there because the school believe that it's wasn't just all of the cross band team but someone in particular. "I welcome you all to this new session which would yield to us good things". Mr Felix started as he spoke to small group of students who were all seated. "And to top to the good things we have with us a transfer student all the way from Boston".Mr Felix continue as he gestured the person outside to come in. There was a little mumur in the class the instant the student walked in. He showed less concern to the class who were making a fuss about him and glared keenly to his wrist watch. "You may introduce yourself". Mr Felix said to not too concerned student standing next to him. "I am Damian". He said and after a little while if waiting and he said nothing,Mr Felix had to assumed he was done introducing himself. "You can seat down ". He said to Damian shocked by the empty introduction which wasn't the only person who felt that way. "Bro,that was so little ". A blonde girl said to herself as she glared at him. "This semester will be great"....Mr Felix had just started talking again when Nicole rushed in. "Late on your first day?". Mr Felix asked. "I'm sorry". Nicole apologized. "Go,get a seat Miss August". He said to her as she rushed towards the seated students but stumped on someone's feet. "I'm so sorry". She said looking at who her victim was and it was Damian. Damian who just got hit had just turned to see who it was making the duo stare into each others eyes for quite a time. "Yellow eyes". Nicole thought to her self as she walked to sit beside the blonde girl fromm earlier. "Hey baby".She said softly so as to not interrupt Mr Felix. "This semester will be the great one for all of us"Mr Felix said. "s**t, what's he saying?". Nicole said instantly irritated. "Whatever he is saying know that he has been saying this for the part 20 minutes". Molly said. "You know he said something like this last semester and it turned out to be the very worst". Nicole said. "We the cross band members got suspended for vandalism we don't know about,my boyfriend broke up with me because he was relocating and couldn't do long distance, you got played by Jake,i got grounded by my mom as punishment". Nicole listed. "Yeah, Nicole. I so much hated last semester". Molly said. "Who's that guy?". Nicole asked stealing glances at Damian. "He's a transfer student from Boston". Molly replied. "Boston?"Nicole asked surprised. "He doesn't look Boston ". She added. "Seems like you are having another lecture over there, Miss August ".Mr Felix said. "No sir". Nicole said and Mr Felix continued. "He doesn't look Boston ". Nicole said "I don't know about that but that's what Mr Felix said ". Molly muttered. "Miss August ". Mr Felix called after a while "What have i done again?". Nicole said. "What have i done again?". Mr Felix repeated. "s**t, Was i that loud?". Nicole asked and Molly nodded. "You and your crew that were involved in the vandalism should report to my office by 12 noon". That was the last Mr Felix said before leaving. "Guess the suspension wasn't enough punishment ". Nicole said and Molly let out a sad sigh. *************************** A group of students with Molly and Nicole just walked out of an office obviously unhappy. "So we would be cleaning the school's cafeteria for two weeks ". Nicole said. "And if we are not able to spot out who did this then we would be paying for the damages".James , a guy amongst them who happens to be the tallest said. "s**t,the cafeteria is the worst place to clean especially after meals".Molly complained. "We would have to clean the sink where people puke". Ethan said,another guy said he was tall but wasn't as tall as James. "And then we would get to see used condoms and hear the sound of people banging at the back of the cafeteria". Brenda, another blonde aside from Molly said. "Says the person who had enough of banging last year". Ethan said and everyone laughed except Conrad and Brenda which happened to be the two he was referring to. The group of students walked into the Cafeteria as the continued discussing. The purchased their meal and made way to a table. "But who do you think vandalized?". Nicole asked taking a bite of her apple. "Nice question". Molly commended. "I doubt it being one of us because it makes no sense that anyone her would do such s**t knowing the repercussions". Brenda said making loud sounds with the gum she was chewing. "What if it was the Aesthetics". James said and everyone narrowed their eyes to the group of students siting at the end of the hall. "It might be them,they have been attacking us ever since we were selected ". Ethan replied. "It's actually messy to have two teams in one club yet the school still went on with it". Nicole said. "And if it was them,heavens know i won't hesitate to break a bottle on the head of one of em". Brenda said and just then Damian walked talking Nicole's attention. She glared at him trying to understand something best known to her. "Nicole". Molly who sat beside her called snapping her finger. "Yeah". Nicole said jotting back to reality. "Girl why you so lost?". Brenda asked. "It's nothing serious". Nicole said to Brenda before turning to Molly. "What's his last name?". Nicole said. "He didn't say any". Molly said taking a spoon of her ice cream. "That's weird". Nicole said standing afterwards. "Excuse me". She said to her friends before leaving to Damian. "Hi Damian, i'm Nicole August ". She introduced as she stretched at her hand for a hand shake but Damian ignored it which made slowly bring down her hand in shame . "I was wondering since....". She was still talking when he stood up and left. "What the f**k"... Nicole said utterly embarrassed. "Who the hell is he?".
