I didn’t realize that I had been kneeling there sobbing for hours until the doors to my room swung open. The rapid pitter-patter of little feet broke through the heavy silence in the room, alerting me to my children's presence. I tried to cover up the clear evidence of tears from my face, but when I turned to greet them, their eyes widened and worry clouded their bright smiles. My heart tugged at the sight of this, hating that my sweet little stars were seeing this weaker side of their mother. “It’s ok Momma.” Melina said, kneeling in front of me and taking my hand in both of hers. “I’m ok now.” She smiled and jumped up to her feet, shaking out her little legs while she beamed brightly at me. “See? I’m all better.” I couldn’t help but chuckle at her display, smiling back at my children
