Ch. 33 : Flames of Execution
The day of the council meeting came quickly after the arrest and poisoning of my daughter, with seven maids and servants that were also arrested after being questioned by Knights. Melina was making a great recovery and was able to walk around for short bursts before needing to rest. The poultice that the physicians had made has been the biggest help in urging her body to heal itself and alleviating the aches she would feel when she would try to push herself. Thankfully, Cal, Reya and Teris have been very good about reminding my energetic Princess to take breaks and sit. Though I still held many worries about what my children now ate and who was working in the kitchens, I felt more at ease as well.
