Chapter Seven

I wake up with Camila snuggled into my side. My eyes widen and I realize I have to get back to Romeo before sunrise. I try to wiggle out of her grip before waking her. Unfortunately, I fail and she groans and holds on to me tighter.
"Cam, I have to get back to Romeo", I giggle softly.
"I was thinking," she mumbles into my shirt.
"About what," I ask while I gently brush her hair away from the side of her face.
"Since your parents are away, why don't you bring Romeo here", she suggests with her voice raspy and raw.
"I couldn't burden your family", I say.
"You won't! I'm sure my parents won't mind, and plus it's not safe for you two to be out there alone," she says before sitting up to face me.
I bite lip and consider her offer.
"Just a few days", I ask.
Camila nods excitedly making me giggle.
"I'll be back in a few hours", I say before walking to the door.
"Wait, take Lauren with you," she says.
"Why," I ask curiously.
"Because Dark Majesty has been seen in the woods, and I want you and Romeo to be safe", she says.
"I can take care of my self," I giggle.
"I don't doubt that, but think of it as a fail-safe," she smiles.
"Fine", I give in.
Camila gives me a big smile and with a wave of her hands, Lauren appears on the floor. My eyes widen.
"How did you- how is she- what the hell," I stutter in shock.
"Oh my god, Y/n I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you", Camila gets out of bed and walks over to me.
"What the- are you a wizard," I ask confused.
Both Camila and Lauren laugh and I just furrow my eyebrows.
"No Y/n/n I'm, not a wizard," Camila giggles.
I look out the window and see the sun starting to rise.
"Explain when I return, I have to get going", I sigh.
"Right, Lauren I need you to accompany y/n on route to her home and back," Camila informs her.
"Camila, with all, do respect, I am not some chauffeur," Lauren says.
"I am well aware, however, you do work for my family", Camila smirks.
Lauren sighs and nods her head.
She walks outside the door.
"Are you coming or not", Lauren huffs.
I nod and turn to walk away but Camila grabs my arm. She pulls me into a soft hug.
"Come back to me," she whispers in my ear.
"Always princess", I say.

Romeo, Lauren, and I are riding horses back to the palace. Romeo doesn't know much of what's going on, I just told him we would be staying with a friend for a while.
We leave the horses at the stable and when we walk into the palace the king and queen stand in front of us wearing smiles.
Romeo and I bow.
"Hello, you must be y/n, Karla has told us many good things about you", the queen says.
"She goes by Camila now my love," The king corrects her.
"Karla, Camila, we named her both," Sinhue shrugs.
"And this handsome fellow must be Romeo," Alejandro smiles at my little brother who smiles shyly.
"Sofia", Alejandro calls out.
Soon I see the little Cuban running down the steps happily.
"Hi," she says.
"Hello princess", I giggle.
I look down and notice his staring and the younger girl and nudge him discreetly.
"Allow us to show you where you will be staying," Sinhue suggests. I nod and grab Romeo's hand as we walk through the beautiful building.
"Your room will be right next to Camila's so you won't get lost or bored while you stay", Sinhue says warmly.
"She doesn't have many friends, so when she told us about you we were ecstatic," Alejandro says.
"Mami, Papi, have my guests arrived", her voice rings.
I turn around and see Camila and I feel those funny feelings all over again.

Camila's eyes locked with mine, and J think I have been staring too long and clear my throat before looking away.
The king and queen leave us to get settled and I'm pretty sure Romeo is with Sofia.
So now Camila and I are all alone.
"So, what happened earlier", I say.
"Okay, about that, I have... magic," she says.
"Magic? Like real magic or foolery magic," I ask.
"Real magic y/n", she giggles.
"H-how is that even possible," I stutter.
"Well, apparently I'm' the savior'," Camila sighs.
"So that's what you were crying about last night," I ask.
"Yes and no", she says.
"Dark Majesty is going to cast a really dark curse. And whatever it is, I have to bring everyone out of it", Camila explains.
"What? Why can't we just stop the curse", I ask confused?
"It's too late, we only have a few days left," Camila groans.
"And speaking of, I have to go train with Lauren, and then I have to train with Ally," Camila pouts.
"Train as in what," I ask.
"Lauren is helping me with fighting and Ally teaches me light magic," she says.
"Can I watch," I ask hopefully.
"Sure, just make sure you keep your eyes on mine," Camila smirks.
"No promises", I mumble.
"I heard that," she giggles.
