Chapter Eight

Lauren, Camila and I walk down through the dungeon, and back to a dark empty room.

"Hold your arm out", Lauren instructs.

Camila does as told and Lauren punches her arm making Camila squeal.

"Ow Lauren! I bruise easy," she whines.

"Well stop me from hitting you," Lauren smirks.

Lauren punches her arm again and Camila stumbles back.

The third time Lauren jabs at her, Camila grabs her fist.

"Good girl," Lauren chuckles darkly.

She punches with her other hand and Camila steps back quickly and grabs it.

"Now your learning," Lauren says before swinging her leg at Camila's head.

Camila streaks and drops to the ground.

"No, get up, I didn't even hit you," Lauren laughs.

"Try this instead," Lauren says before showing Camila the proper way to duck.

"Like this", Camila asks before trying what Lauren just did.

"Bend your knees, get lower," Lauren says.

Camila does as told and Lauren swings her leg again.

Camila stands again, and without warning, Lauren throws multiple jabs at Camila which she deflects and she ducks when Lauren kicks but ends up falling over.

"You're not trying hard enough princess," Lauren almost growls.

Camila's eyes darken a little bit and she lunges at Lauren throwing a string of punches. Lauren smirks deviously and dodges them all. Camila throws an elbow and Lauren ducks and charges at Camila, tackling her stomach making her hit the cold wall.

She knees Camila in the stomach and I clench my jaw.

She goes to kick her again but Camil pushes her knee down forcefully and pushes Lauren off of her.

Lauren smirks and walks over to a table and picks up two swords.

"Lauren are you sure this is safe", I ask genuinely concerned about how harsh Lauren is being.

"How else is she going to learn," she says.

Camila grabs the sword from Lauren and swallows a lump in her throat.

Lauren cracks her neck.

"So basically stop me from stabbing you and you will live," Lauren says.

"Yeah no pressure," Camila says.

Lauren swings the sword over her shoulder and Camila slides underneath Lauren's legs and kicks her in the back.

Lauren elbows Camila from behind her make Cam drop to her knees.

Lauren swings the sword towards Camila again but she blocks it in time with her own sword.

"Just how strong are you princess," Lauren taunts.

Camila glares at her and pushes with all her strength. Lauren struggles to keep her leverage as Camila starts to stand up, pushing Lauren backward. Once Camila is standing she pushes Laurens swords backward making Lauren drop it.

I stare at her with wide eyes and Lauren blushes.

"Beginner's luck", Lauren shrugs.

"Ally," Lauren sings.

Ally walks in and waves at me with a smile. Then with a snap of her fingers, a bunch of targets appear around the room.

"Target practice? Easy, "Camila smirks.

"Try fighting me while you do it," Lauren gloats.

Camila tries to elbow her but Lauren slides out of the way and punches at Camila's stomach which she dodges.

"Shoot," ally yells.

Camila fires at one of the targets and ends up shooting a fireball out the window.

"Not so easy now huh", Lauren giggles.

Camila drops and swipes Laurens legs from under her making her drop. She then throws a fireball at another target, hitting a bullseye.

"No, still easy," Camila smirks.

Lauren gets up and throws a combination of punches and kicks and Camila dodges and punches back as quickly as she can. It almost looks like they are dancing.

"Shoot", Ally yells.

Camila groans and hits the corner of a target with a fireball.

Lauren slides across the ground and grabs a sword and swipes at Camila's legs and Camila leaps high into the air. She does a 360 turn mid-air and kicks towards Lauren's face. Lauren saw the moving coming rolled behind Camila and pulled her legs from under her. Camila breaks her fall with her hands and Lauren grabs her ankle and flips her over. Camila looks tired and doesn't have the strength to stop Laurens fist from connecting with her jaw.

"Stop me, Camila," Lauren growls.

"Don't quit on me now," Lauren says.

I can't stand to watch this anymore.

I put my hand on Lauren's shoulder and she swings her right arm towards my face but I block it knee her in the stomach. She groans but swivels behind me and grabs my arm pinning it behind my back. I stomp down hard on her foot making her scream, and I break myself out of her hold.

"Enough", I say sternly.

Lauren glares at me, but I shrug it off and bend down and pick Camila's body off the ground, carrying her bridal style.

"You see this? You did this," I growl at Lauren.

"I was doing my job", Lauren says defensively.

"Well you did a hell of a job", I yell.

I carry Camila all the way back to her room and lay her on the bed.

Ally walks in after me and starts to undress Camila.

I feel bad for looking and turn my head the other way. Eventually, I lose the internal battle I'm having in my head and look back at her. She isn't completely naked, she still has her undergarments on. But she is pretty bruised up, unconscious. I feel nauseous again, and not in a good way.

Ally places her hands a few inches above Camila's wounds. She says a few words I don't understand and Camila starts to heal right in front of my eyes.

"How are you doing that," I ask in shock.

"Magic," Ally giggles.

In a few minutes she should wake up she might be a little sore, but she is fine, she says before walking out and shutting the door.

I sit on the bed next to her. I place my hand on top of hers.

"When I was little I lived in a beautiful house, in the middle of nowhere. My family was neither broke or rich, but we had enough. My father messed up with the wrong person one day, and the next my home was in flames. From that day on, I became hardened to any positive emotions, so I learned to fight to take out my frustrations. Now I don't let people get close to me, because I can't stand to be hurt anymore. But for some reason, I let you in... Why is that", I ask Camila's sleeping body.

"Because we are soul mates slowness," she rasps.

"Camila," I exclaim.

Camila smiles weakly.

I lean forward and kiss her with all my might. She moans softly into my mouth and I cup her face gently. Our lips move together, as they were meant to and I relax completely.

I pull back in embarrassment realizing what I had just done.

"I'm sorry I- "Camila cuts me off by pulling me back down into another deep kiss. Camila pulls me on top of her softly and we continue kissing. I'm hesitant, but I allow my tongue to swipe her lips asking for entrance. Camila giggles a bit but allows me access. My tongue explores her mouth before our tounges battle for dominance.

I pull back out of breath and extremely turned on.

Camila bites her lip and stares into my eyes.

Suddenly the entire building starts to shake causing me to fall off of Camila's lap.

Only then does she realize she isn't fully clothed. She waves her hands and she is now dressed in leather and It looks good on her



She grabs my hand pulls me up.

"Go find Romeo I will get Sofia", she says.

"There is no way in hell I'm leaving you", I say in disbelief.

Camila groans, and kisses me one last time.

"Promise me you will find me," she whispers against my lips.

"Camila I-"

"Promise," she cuts me off.

"Always," I say softly.

And with that, she disappears.

I waste no time and run into the hallway searching for Romeo.

I saw him in a corner hugging his knees.

I drop and hold him against my chest before we are completely enveloped in a black cloud.
