Chapter Ten

I woke up early this morning and got dressed.
Autumn talked me into visiting my brother at camp so I drove over there.
I walk into the small building and see her at the reception desk. I mentally groan. She doesn't like me at all, and it annoys me because she doesn't know me.
"What do you want", she asks sassily.
"Chill sweetheart," I say sarcastically.
"I'm just here to see my brother," I say sharply.
"You don't deserve to see him," she says back.
"Look, I know you're trying to f**k him and all, but that's not your decision," I say.
She just glares at me angrily.
"I don't like you," she groans.
"Really Camilla? I thought we were friends", I say sarcastically.
"f**k you," she says.
"Wouldnt you like that", I smirk.
"Did you not hear me when I said I wouldn't," she says.
"I did, but you don't have a reason not to like me, you don't even know me", I exclaim.
"Oh but I do! I know that you sleep with half the girls in this town, just because you can", She says.
"How would you know? I haven't taken you home yet", I smirk.
"Your brother is so much better than you," she spats.
"Is his d**k that good", I laugh.
She groans and storms off before turning back around.
"And for the record, I'm not sleeping with your brother sheriff," she says before storming off again.
Soon she returns with my brother and he smiles when he sees me. He gives me a tight hug.
He brings me out to the stables and shows me the horses.
"Can I ask you something", Romeo asks.
"Of course", I smile.
"What's up with you and Camila", he asks.
"Us? Nothing, she hates me and I her", I groan.
"What about you though," I smirk.
"What about me," he laughs.
"I see the way you look at her", I nudge him.
"What? I don't like Camila, im.. interested in someone else", he mumbles at the end.
"Omg! Baby bro has a crush! Who is she, you gotta tell," I say excitedly.
"Its...Camila's sister Sofia", he blushes.
"What?! That's so cute," I fangirl.
"That's why I'm so nice to Camila, I want her to like me enough for me to be with her sister", he explains.
"My adorable Lil nugget", I ruffle his hair making him squirm.
Just then my phone rings and I see that it's my boss. I answer it quickly.
"Hello," I say into the phone.
"I need you to get to my office... we have a problem," she says.
"Be there in 15", I say before hanging up.
"You just got here," Romeo frowns.
"Chill, I will be back soon, besides, now you can go make moves on Sofia," I smirk.
"Okay you can go now", he blushes.
I laugh and hug him once more before jogging back to my car.
When I get to Lana's office she asks me to sit down.
"I need you to talk with Mr. Jesse Marks," she says bluntly.
"Um, okay, talk about what", I ask.
"Try to see if he is hiding anything", I don't trust him.
"With all due respect madam mayor, you aren't giving me much info to work with."
"I think that Jesse is selling illegal substances in his shop. I just need you to find out what he knows", she says.
"I can do that but-"
I'm interrupted by a knock on the door.
I turn around and see a very familiar chocolate goddess.
"I'm sorry to interrupt but I need to talk to you Lana", Normani says.
"Of course, its no problem", Lana smiles.
"Oh, and Y/n, since you are here, I brought something for you to give to Romeo," she says while fumbling through her bag before pulling out a book.
"Untold Stories? Romeo is 16", I giggle.
"I know, but he requested it before school let out," she says.
Normani is one of Romeo's teachers.
"Oh okay, well I will make sure he gets this", I smile.
"I should get going, it was lovely seeing you Normani," I smile and excuse myself before starting the drive to Jesse's shop.
