Devara had learned the hard way to always have a backup plan, and so she had put Ethan in charge of building to a secret hideout for her, even though she had desperately prayed that she never had to use it.
As soon as Efe and Leander had come looking for her, she had realized that even Camp Picaroon could not keep her safe, so she had to leave for her secret hideout.
Before Devara left for the secret hideout she had sent Belle, Mariam, and Jimin, the youngest, to Germany where they would be safer with Ariel and Airen who like her had been unable to forgive Efe for how she had handled the Elyria issue.
Airen and Ariel had remained by her side all through, and so she had always kept them in the loop of her location and her plans.
