The paramedic side of Trey’s brain was deeply worried by the time the ambulance pulled up to the ER entrance of the hospital. Landon’s status was deteriorating. Trey had finally gotten a good listen to the man’s chest and confirmed that he had a collapsed lung. A needle thoracotomy removed most of the air but his oxygen sats were still absolute crap. There was more going on, something serious. The odds of internal bleeding were going up. In the ER Trey rattled off vitals and his assessment to the attending and Landon was whisked away for a CT. Chances were the next stop was going to be the OR. Trey sank into a chair in the waiting room as all of the DEA team members trooped in.
