Chapter 24 With the storm coming and Jordan’s thugs after them, Merrick and Grant ran through a field, then climbed over a wooden rail fence that lined a cemetery in the middle of nowhere. Grass stood as tall as some of the headstones. In the left corner, a small shack with double doors in the front was going to be their safe haven. Merrick doubted he’d find much inside, but he had to get Grant someplace safe. He opened the door, then let Grant step in. After he closed the door, he faced a zero-turn mower and a work bench.
