"She's so hate-able." Ares muttered to which I hummed in response. Well, he wasn't wrong. "Next, we have, Dana Ivanov, daughter of Noah Ivanov—" Amanda paused for a few seconds before resuming, "Start up price is $4000!" "She's humiliating our whole family." "Then stop her." Ares said making me shake my head, "I won't. You're gonna buy her." "Me? Have you lost it?" Ares asked, frowning at me. "No I haven't. Buy her, Ares. You don't have to f**k her—you can just make her do whatever you want. I am not allowed to buy her since she's my sister." I replied, silently hoping that he'd agree. He was silent for a while before he finally nodded his head. "$6000!" A man shouted. "$6200!" Another man shouted. "$6700!!" an old man shouted in his horse voice. "He looks old enough to be my grandfather's father." I said, my voice laced with disgust as I stared at the old man. Ares laughed, "Your sister does not seem to mind." "Our family's reputation is on line here." I sighed, "don't be an a*s, Salvatore. Do it." "$7000!" The amount kept increasing making me furrow my brows. Did these men really desire Dana that much? "I think it is time for you to step in the game." I nudged Ares's arms lightly. Ares groaned before letting out a sigh, "As you wish, tesoro." "$8000!" The old man said again. "$20,000!" Another man said with a smirk as he stepped in front. He was sure that he was going to win as he thought that no one was going to spend that much for only one night. "Remind me why I'm doing this again?" Ares asked making me groan in annoyance, "Because family members aren't allowed to buy and I am her sister for f**k's sake!" "Right. You owe me, love." Ares said with a smirk and cleared his throat before saying out loud, "$22,000!"
