Chapter Twelve

MaNan were hugging each other when someone knocked at the door. Oh! It was 10.

Nandini smiled and caressed her husband's hairs. She wore the robe along with the night suit and removed all the possible clothes lying on the floor.

She tied her hair and opened the door and smiled at the person. It was her mother in law, to be precise, her mother.

Nyonika smiled and kissed her forehead

"Good Morning Maa, come and sit na!”" Nandini said.

Nyonika smiled "That’s absolute okay my love. Good Morning"

"Maa, Pleaseee" Nandini said and Nyonika came inside and sat on the sofa chair.

She smiled at her son who was sleeping with his mouth open and on his stomach with duvet covering him from his mid-back.

Oops, the bed curtains were open.

Nyonika's eyes then fell on the boxer which was lying just near the bed and she hidingly giggled which made Nandini confused.

Nandini looked at the direction and her cheeks became red. She hurriedly stood near it and gave an *embarrassing smile* to her mother in law.

Nyonika smiled at her. Just when Manik with his eyes closed started looking for his girl beside him. He opened his mouth and uttered "Babyy, Come nah honeeyy"

Nandini widened her eyes at his act while Nyonika giggled.

She stood up and said "I should go now"

Just when, Nandini was about to close the door, Nyonika smiled and kept her hand on her head "Seems like my son is very happy with you..I love you beta, Be happy like this" She kissed her forehead and went away leaving a smiling Nandini beside.

Nandini closed the door and lied beside Manik "Manik, mom came" Manik looked at her with sleepy eyes "When?"

She ruffled his hairs and said "When you were calling for me sweetheart" Manik looked at her and answered "Ohh!" Nandnini looked a him with wide yes" Manik, you were calling me Baby..Come na..Something like this.." She said embarrassed. He cupped her cheeks and murmered in a sleepy tone "Dont worry Love, She understands" Nandini smiled and hugged him.

Both were ready in their dresses. Nandini in a beautiful red saree while Manik in a simple red kurta.

They walked downstairs and saw Cabir smirking to which Manik made an irritated face.

"Cabirr? You had to come now only?" Manik said.

"Manikkk! I love you man!! More than you loved her last night" He spoke and that was it. Nandini widened her eyes and looked at him while Manik looked here and there while everyone laughed.

Mukti stood beside Nandini and pushed her a little by her shoulder

"So, How was your short term honeymoon" Mukti pushed her a little while Nandini blushed.

"Veryyy Beautiful...Cute little potato" Manik came up for his wife's rescue.

“Shutup bhai!! Your sister has turned into a bombshell and look at you!! Still potato! Urghh" Mukti started running behind Manik while Nyonika smilingy turned towards Nandini.

“I have always heard that men change after marriage! They drift apart from family but he's still the same..All because of you sweetheart" Nyonika said while Nandini took her blessings.

"It’s all your ethics and love which had made the family so strong and compassionate!” Nandini said to a proud mother. Proud as in? Getting the best daughter-in-law.
